@@DasAntiNaziBroetchen That may be part of it though another part is simply the way a KZbinr can teach vs the way even a good teacher has to teach. They can't veer too far from the curriculum/have to cover certain topics in a certain amount of time, they have more of a set schedule for how long each lesson is and the lesson is usually given at hours when students may not be at their best performance (I never was). There's also forced teaching vs free learning, with KZbin we're tuning in on our time if/when we feel like it.

Separate your forearms by 1 meter and have an assistant run one ampere of current through them. Give yourself time to fully experience the 10^-7 newtons of force and I bet you'll remember that factoid until the day you die. I'm so sure I'm right I won't bother suggesting how to complete the experiment in a scientifically valid way.
@michaeljburt6 жыл бұрын
What you're asking for is not possible. There is no microscope powerful enough to "look" at electrons as they pass through a conductor. The best way I like to teach this is by saying that we only know the "average motion of a very large number of electrons". The analogy to water is pretty good, the only exception is that you literally cannot *know* the location of any particular electron at a given time. This gets into quantum physics and the uncertainty principle.

Also Afrotechmod and Great Scott. To name a few. Don't be deterred if you don't understand something right away. Physics and electronics in general are ways of thinking that we're generally not used to. So it will take some time to gain an intuitive understanding of this stuff. But I guarantee if you keep trying you eventually will. This is a nice circuit simulator program that will help to give you a visual demonstration of various circuits. It was a great resource in helping me to understand voltage and current: sourceforge.net/projects/circuitmod/ And here's a Java version of the same program which you can run right in your browser. One good analogy is that if you have two containers, one with water and one without. If you connect the containers with a lace, the water will flow from the container with water, to the other container until the water level is the same. So voltage is the difference in water level, the flow is current. If you "put" a water wheel in between the lace, that is resistance.

Oh my, oh my how brilliant you are!!! Like physics professor that I’ve always loved and like that one scientist that you can’t get enough of. And thank you, without discrimination world 🌎 would be a much better place. And brilliant joke : “ Don’t do it at home .” Aahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaha You are world’s hero , through knowledge, science, love and some laughter you brighten the days of many souls. God Bless

I love the "don't do this at home" message, applied to discrimination. Genius!

Don't discriminate at home? Screw that noise! I'm going to continue discriminating against flat earthers!
@TheAnantaSesa6 жыл бұрын
Of course he means discriminate based on irrelevant qualities like how many eyebrows one has or x chromosome number or pigment density. Qualification not nepotism. Not even reverse discrimination.

Does the gravity affects the flow of current?
@eekahai6 жыл бұрын
Tech's Science No it doesn't. Technically gravity affects everything but in case of current F=mg Me-mass of electron=9.1×10^(-31)kg Let's take g=10 So gravitational force=9.1×10^(-30)N THIS FORCE HARDLY HAS ANY AFFECT )
@B-max.6 жыл бұрын
Gravity affects everything but it's effect is so miniscule in this case that we ignore it.

Electricity runs in a closed loop. Even if electrons were heavy, it wouldn't matter
@laharl2k6 жыл бұрын
It would affect it provided you had a very localized gravitational force in the middle of the current path like say running a wire near a black hole. The gravity would stretch the space making the travel longer so it would add a delay to the signal from your poimt of view. Your electrons would be traveling forth in time.

.... Do electrons even have mass? I don't think so since they don't have the quark that causes mass.

This is the most comprehensive explanation of voltage in my opinion. I have done my best over time to intuitively understand voltage :)))
