At first I struggled to put together a good lap, I got to 1:52.5 and even after watching your video only managed to get to 1:52.4. Every lap I would leave a few tenths in one of the sectors, I just managed to do a 1:51.8. What I think helped for me was 'embracing' the oversteer. At first I tried to keep it clean through every corner, but I noticed many times I was faster when using more power and being on the edge of oversteer. Maybe helps for some of you guys having the same problem, I play on controller btw.

I haven't got that group of people in the grand stand on the second to last corner. I'm trying to find a substitute turn in marker but none are prominent enough for me to spot every lap. As a result I keep either cutting the second to last corner and invalidating my lap, or missing the apex and running wide and invalidating my lap. If by some miracle I nail that turn, my car simply won't rotate for the last corner unless I drop to like 80mph. I've tried downshifting, trail braking late into the corner and even jabbing the brakes hard just before I turn in to try and unsettle the rear end. All I'm getting is buckets of understeer.

Hello Tidgney! You've won me a bucket of Gold so far, but not this time, as your car pulled away so far and fast, that I couldn't see the weight transfers anymore. (maybe gt7 could improve the Ghost delay feature, to not be ghosted by the same amount per lap, but customisable per sectors (had big issues with sector 3 near in the last 5 corners, and lost you) So this time I've used the time of someone much, much weaker than you - The Kie25 Don't tell him I said this.

@@tidgney No need. As you said, let's not be mad on the people who are having fun performing, and pushing the time envelope in the time-trial 3% limits. It's up to us to get better and catch-up, and there's already plenty of people who upload lap recordings in the Top 300 area of the Global Ranking board.

Totally see Barcelona coming as F1 will take place here this month. It seems there is no way the downshifting exploit can be fixed right?

It's definitely been changed slightly as I feel cars spin out alot easier from it now. So potentially it can be fixed, they could always just put an engine protect on like ACC which would stop it completely.

@@tidgney So engine protect is a real life thing or just a game thing? It would be nice if they really add that to GT. The downshifting glitch is at least giving 0.5 second of advantage for a 60 to 90 seconds TT, even more so on tracks with multiple long straights

What's the benefit of weak ABS

For me less understeer on braking and more control while trail braking. Front end seems to tuck and car rotates a bit better with weak ABS at least on some cars.

Great question! I did do a video on this which is on the channel! However, Weak ABS means less interruption from the driving aid and actually can allow additional rotation in the car.
