I also had the same natural frequencies and downforce values, but I had ended up with minimum compression dampers, minimum front anti-rollbar and 30 for acceleration sensitivity. Other than those few differences we had the same values in our builds. Now I need to check how big a difference that can make 😊

@ I got 1 tenth improvement with Tidgney’s setup, just replaced the front compression dampers with minimum values for better stability (expansion still at maximum).

Good video Tidge. Thanks for the setup info. Great point about PD enabling setups has caused the race to become less balanced rather than more balanced.

There is just enough time to apply the setup. You need to hit triangle to save the setup before backing out.

you know with tuning if you join the race go to qualifing, tune the car before you get into the race lobby, then the setup is saved for the race from the qualifying setup, you just have to join the race first then go quali enter your setup and you're good for the race. I do agree with you though, we should be able to save tunning setups per car per track.

The penalty system is beyond broken. The amount of times you get completely shafted through no fault of your own is absurd. There has to be a reason they don’t bother to fix it.

Thank you for the set-up settings. I was able to improve my time to 56.8 compared to a late 59 with the default set-up. Still room for improvement though...

PD never quite get it right do they. On paper this race is an absolute banger. The mix of modern GR1 cars, classic GR1 cars and tuning makes it an absolute mess though.

Good to know you don't have time to adjust a full setup in warm up. I've been dropping the downforce, but not adjusting the suspension so time has not been an issue. I guess qualification is best as it gives you time to adjust fully before going into the race.

The penalty system makes me not want to race. The purpose of racing is to win. And its impossible to win when other drivers make mistakes and you get penalties and it ruins your race.

I wonder if there's some way to apply AI to be the race marshalls. Instead of Sophie for offline races, which is nice, but hardly makes a difference, they should develop an AI that learns and applies the penalty considering every particular situation, instead of the actual "Barrier = 5 sec" without analyzing the context.

You need to revise you scoring system for the daily races. None of the races this week should be over 6/10. And this daily B should have been daily A with both SR/DR remaining unchanged, as tunable Gr1 is highly experimental configuration we never had before. I'm not touching this race with a stick

I had my first online races in over a year today, not once single clean race, mistakes happen, and I made them, but people on this version of Gran Turismo play like its Forza 7 , people just dont care and dont race clean , you'd think id have one clean race in a whole day, but no, also I see A plus drivers in D lobbies, I think this is the end for this game for me personally , and I used to love racing online

So they add 5 cars and instead of letting people drive them in at least a Daily Race A they choose these 3 Daily Races this week.... They could have had a Ford Escort race in Daily A instead of the Rally race that we have already had before. Daily B could have been a race with the new 911 and Daily C with the old Mercedes formula 1 car..... I think we can survive not doing gr 1-4 races for one week?

I refuse to race online anymore. You hit on two issues which have soured my experiences in Dailies. 1. Tuning, whilst a great idea, cause havoc for the reasons you mention. Essentially creating a two-class system of players who don't (can't) tune, and those who do. 2. The penalty system is broken, and we've been complaining about it for a LONG time. Combine this with declining standards of sportsmanship and we see the inevitable decline in numbers of people participating in Dailies. Rant over,

Why are we still stuck with 3 janky daily races. Needs more choice, i think categories the races i.e Gr B, Gr4, Gr3, Gr2 etc etc and run a random track rotation and im just on controller and not as heavily invested into this as most of you guys are with expensive sim rigs and these are the daily races they have on offer, shockingly bad. I jumped on last night for the 1st time in months, prior to checking what the daily races were and i just wanted to turn it back off lol. I believe we are friends Tidgney on your YT account. You have to laugh at the penalty system. It is what it is. I hardly do online racing primarily because of just the penalty system. Shame really.
