I went up to this from the T300 GT edition. Completely agree with every point of this review. Very happy-my driving has improved ten-fold. I can’t wait for the load cell brake upgrade. Folks have criticized the included sport car rim but once mounted and in game, it’s impressive.

TSPC was never a playstation wheel that is a PC/XBOX only wheel set up, i think you must have been meaning the TGT2

The TGT2 is a great wheelbase. I wouldn't upgrade unless you want to go to a big DD wheelbase, like the T818 or stronger

Are they going to release just the base unit??? , no wheel or pedals , me and my son's both sim race together and they both have all the thrustmaster gear , and I have all simucube ultimate . I would love to upgrade them from their t300 units

I have a T300 with the Ferrari 599xx Evo wheel and T-LCM pedals. I’m waiting for the base to be offered by itself and then get an adaptor for my Ferrari wheel. Some reviewer said first quarter of 2025 for base only sales

You mean TGT II for GT right? I don’t think this T598 base is better than the TGTII. TM needs to offer maybe another stronger base by next year for console. At least 8NM

Here in the UK the logitech g29 is now £179. This Thrustmaster when back in stock is gonna be £449. So it’s definitely not close in price. It should be a lot better than starter products because it's alot more money 😅

It's that much in the uk wow , in canada you can find it for around 500 cdn plus all the taxes😢 and the g29 is 385 at normal price and 300 on sale , I would think a wheel that is direct drive and a much bigger eco system in the long run is the better choice but honestly the logitech G pro is a great wheel I would have bought that if it had more add ons , but went with Simucube ultimate instead . But for a child a g29 is a amazing place to start for them .

It is much better than a starter product. It blows the g29 away in all aspects. Power, build, and performance. Worthwhile upgrade

Tgt2 + Tlcm is still TM’s best option on PlayStation! The wheel has been tested on the highest level in GT sports and GT7 The T598 is not a competitive wheel and pedal set! If you already have tgt2, this is not an upgrade!!!

​@@JayKBrathe base can only use thrustmaster pedals directly connected. So on a playstation you can only use thrustmaster pedals, but you can use any thrusmtaster pedals, or no pedals at all. I bet your friend plugged them into the incorrect port which does stop functionality of the wheel since something isnt connected correctly. But on pc you can use any pedals from any manufacturer but you have to buy that manufacturers usb adapter and plug directly into pc

I have DD Logi. and when I set it smaller to 7 nm it is loose all the feelings, so I think its maybe good for money but not on pro. level.

It's very much an entry level DD base. What strength of FFB users want is very subjective. I prefer less FFB, just enough to feel what the car is doing and this wheel does just that.
