Like most MR Gr.3 cars it struggles with oversteer and it burns through the rear tyres. I started GT7 with the RS01 (because I love the Megane Trophy and wanted to stay with a single brand), but after switching to the AMG (the '16 version then) I never looked back.

It's horrible to drive in cambered corners, try Deep Forest last corner. Unfortunately that fault ruins the entire lap because it loses traction and thus 0.3s or more

I have to say this is my absolutely favourite gr.3 car. I love this car so much its great at handling also very good at traction zones and for me it has the greatest engine sound from all the gr.3 cars😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩😎😎😎

It's a crime your footage didn't have sound because this car sounds so good. Anyways this is my favorite gr3 car - incredibly fun to drive and handles curbs well. And in races where suspension adjustments are allowed you can dial out the oversteer.

Ye was extremely frustrating when I came to edit! Couldn't believe it to be honest as it's impossible for it not to record the sound as it records any sound I hear.... or should do as that's how it's set up! Very bizzare bug

Cheers Tidge surprised it's tyres on the Oval didn't last longer tbh and I still do think that FM3 should be fully revved out in accordance to what ever car it is because then you'll know the full extent to which the car is saving fuel and relative time lost or gained, the short shift is already on slower mode so it's always going to be slower and may not be saving as much fuel relative to time gained or lost, if that makes sense.

Thanks for the feedback as always Rapid! The reason I don't rev it out on fuel map because it's literally the worst way to save fuel, if your using fuel map you're already short shifting (Or at least should be if you're not then there's no point with fuel map). However I am thinking that potentially I should run the maximum revs on automatic and then do the same on fuel map to help the automatic drivers while also giving us that information. Plus then having the short shift and short shift fuel map for the other information.

@@tidgney Yeah, maybe do a separate test for fuel maps with full revs for each, that would show the true fuel extent of FM2-FM6 and from that would reveal which one at 1/4 shift would be better to use and the time saving aspect is gained or not when pitting depending on which track because the time in the pits is exaggerated anyway, like some tracks are better for an undercut than others.

i find for both this and the 16 version..it has excellent lift off oversteer..so you can correct errant understeer quickly ....but I would have to say the 16 is better at doing that..but this is a smoother all around car

A tip for the top speed graphic: Maybe add or change to km/h. Mainly because the increments are smaller, thus the differences are bigger. 2 cars can be on 174 mph while 1 is 278 kmh and the other 279 kmh

I’m done with race cars tbh. Road cars, especially the classics, have character. With race cars, well, they’re all good. With BoP you just choose the one that suits the track best, as everyone else does, job done. Meh… One make race if everyone gets it right, and I know I’m not up there. So why try? No. I like to get to know the Stratos to the point where I trust it and it trusts me. Like my bitch of a cat. Nearly there… Ouch! Point is, I really don’t like Golden Retrievers.
