Can you check if it does have a mode select function by pressing the ptt and star button while turning it on. another video mentions it but doesn't show it.

So you can't choose an 8.33 kHz step. But can you *type in* (and listen to) frequencies that are 8.33 kHz apart? Said differently: is the absence of the 8.33 kHz spacing an issue only with the scan?

Thank you. I was confued about how to even enter the airband. One other question that I can't find an answer to... what is the big blue OFF that is in the box to the right of the duel channels. i can't find anything in the manual that says what is OFF!

It means shows if the CTCSS is turned On or Off.

Thanks for this. Is there a way to limit start and finish frequencies and then loop back through that range? Seems I'm unable to figure that out and the radio will just scan through all the frequencies.

Can it receive two airband channels at the same time or only one? Can it monitor two simultaneously?

It is a single vfo Radio so u can only hear one at a time but you can set two airband and dual watch .

If you have the older firmware AM wont work and you have to use powertune to update.
