Tie Dye Designs: Dalula Co. Lunar Eclipse Used On Two Shirts

This video is a tutorial for a couple of different shirts. I made an incline twist shirt, and a rolled and spiraled shirt. I used Dalula Co.'s Lunar Eclipse on both of them and they turned out looking cool, but very different. The color splits in this color are amazing!

Wowsie is right! What a great color! Will HAVE to get some of her dyes! Who cares how long she takes! Definitely worth it! I like the twisted shirt slightly better. Maybe because you weren't as heavy handed with the dye. I do see a little more pink in the second shirt. Really like the design on both shirts. Yes, EVERYTHING matters when tie dying. How fascinating to see comparison of 1 dye color and the 2 methods! I like the incline shirt best but like the patterning on the spiral one too. I wasn't expecting so much green in that color. Very good video!

Thank you! 😀 I know, they almost look like different dye colors. I love how the doi ended up with more purple and the dui ended up with the darker blue. It's such a fun dye color!

@@lareebrownell3399 I agree! Most of the time the result is some form of brown where the two colors mix. I feel the same way about October Nights from Dalula Co. with the purple and orange combination. It's unusual to get those two colors to play nice on a shirt too. 😀

Have you tried using Retayne from Pro Chemical and Dye? Absolute game changer and time saver!! Love that stuff!! I rinse with cold water and then bring water with Retayne almost to a boil and stir the shirt in. I then let it sit for 10-15 min followed by a quick rinse and done. No waiting while the shirt has to soak or having to constantly wring, wash, and repeat cycles.

WOWIE!!!!!!!!! lunar eclipse is such a beautiful color!!! when i saw this dye on their website i was hoping you'd make something with it :) i love that you did two different designs, it really helps illustrate the differences that this dye can have. i recently did a dui geode style sweatshirt with it, and got much less green and purples with it - i got a lot more blues and dark shades. i was also somewhat heavy handed with it though. i'm excited to experiment more with this, i hope i can get the greens like you did!!! your videos always spark so much inspiration for me! thank you!
