The last shirt looks like it's made of glass and shattered! The second one, I think you're right. I wonder what would happen if you did a geode reverse on it! The first one is pretty cool. I never heard of the thickened chemical thing, this video is packed full of information. I can't wait to start doing tie dye too!

A geode would be cool with the 2nd shirt as the background.

I feel like the lines on #3 are sharper than #2, I like it. It almost gives a 3d effect where the black lines are standing out on top of the rest of the pattern. Overall I think you did improve all three shirts drawing focus away from the aspects you didn't care for.
@FunEndeavors2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I agree - the lines on the 3rd one really pop out.

Quick question! I've got a dress I love that was pink and white but I managed to leave something black in my wash and it's now dirty blue/grey and pink! I've tried colour save but it didn't work! It's a summer dress so I don't want to dye it black but is there any colours that would cover it or is it a lost cause??? Thank!!!
@FunEndeavors2 жыл бұрын
I hate it when that happens. By the way, Carbona and Shout both make sheets that you can stick in your washing machine to make sure colors don't bleed onto each other. I use those a lot when I wash newer clothing from the store. They won't help now, but for in the future. How dark is the pink in your dress? If it is a light pink, a lot of colors would probably cover really well. Just keep in mind that they will be tinted by the pink. For example a blue would probably look more purple after dyeing over the blue. You could also do a reverse dye. That's probably what I would do. I would tie it in a pattern with sinew and use Out White Brite on it. Then you could dye it whatever color you would like to. You could actually just dunk the whole dress in Out White Brite and see if you could remove all the color and start over with a blank slate. It probably won't take it to pure white, but maybe a shade of taupe. You may as well experiment with it - if it isn't wearable now then it's worth a shot to try and save it!
@Vixxie4752 жыл бұрын
@@FunEndeavors Yeah I've got some of those sheets now. You'd think at 47 I could be trusted to do the washing!!! 🤣 It's a light pink so I think I'll try reverse dying it and see what happens. I can't wear it as is so whatever happens it's no loss! But I like the idea of purple. I might try that. Thanks!!

@FunEndeavors2 жыл бұрын
@@Vixxie475 I use those sheets quite often. It's saved me from having to wash a bunch of small loads of clothes. Amazingly, it is not my tie dye that bleeds dye all over everything. It's the clothing that I buy from the store that does. I think reverse dyeing is a great way to go. If you don't want lines that are the color the dress is now, I would put the whole dress in Out White Brite without tying it. Let me know how it goes.

@@FunEndeavors i will! Thanks. I really didn't want to throw it out because it's comfy and light!

It looks like on the dry shirt the black lines are darker, sharper and more defined. The other shirts, especially the middle one, look like the black lines are more faded and out of focus. Both are good looks and can be used in different ways to achieve different goals. More experimentation and trials to show different things and results to everyone, thank you.
@FunEndeavors2 жыл бұрын
You're right - the dry shirt lines really pop out and are much darker and more defined. A combination of tying a damp shirt and then dyeing it when it is dry would probably be the best.

Yeah, I'm on the fence too. I think I like the first one best. The striped one, I don't think that did enough to make it better. Would you Out Bright this one and start over or toss it? I hate to waste. What do you think if you Out Bright it and do over? Better to experiment than toss? Or, like Bruce, use as a rag? I like the last one as I didn't think it started out so bad. Love experiments, this was a good one. Thanks!!!

Out White Brite might work on these, but I had the thickened chemical water and wanted to try just applying color over the top.

I Soda ash doesnt make a difference Dyeing everything but t-shirts ....all at once to make matching outfits,, jean jacket with jeans w/solid no-tied top. So Ironic huh.
