This is amazing! I may watch it again and try to copy it. But not this weekend with 5 grandkids ages 8 to 13! They are waiting so impatiently for their chance to have some tie dye fun with grandma.

I did a tie-dye day with my grandkids some years ago. Lots of fun for everyone. Alas, they've all outgrown those shirts!

The pattern looks like you're looking into an infinity well, especially the back. Really cool. The first thing that came to mind when seeing this was Mass Effect: Andromeda, the Remnants and patterns.

Thank you so much! This is one of my favorite reverse dye patterns. They are silicone cake molds. Here is a link to them: amzn.to/2EnsaU2

It's an amazing shirt! I plan to try the pattern!! I am curious if you worried about the out white brite remaining trapped inside the folds of the shirt. Or the pH level staying too high despite being put i through the wash. I also watch Mr tie dye and he cautions about that at least when using bleach. He recommends soaking shirt in hydrogen peroxide between removing the original dye and adding new dye. He said it can eventually even cause holes. What are your thoughts and experiences with that?
@FunEndeavors2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! No, that is the wonderful thing about Out White Brite is that it doesn't damage the fabric the way that bleach does. Mr. Tie Dye is right, bleach will continue to damage the fabric if it is not neutralized with hydrogen peroxide. Washing a shirt that has been bleached isn't enough to stop the damage. Bleach will also only get a black shirt some shade of orange without causing damage. Normally, if I've ever tried to get it taupe like this one ended up, there will be holes formed. Out White Brite and Rit Color Remover both use a different chemical process to remove the color than bleach does. However, unlike bleach Out White Brite and Rit Color Remover require boiling hot water to activate and remove the color. Did you notice how the Out White Brite powder started to bubble when I added the hot water? I prefer Out White Brite over Rit Color Remover because it works a lot faster. They both have a smell and you should be cautious not to inhale the powder. I always use them outside and wear a respirator for the entire process. Some tie dyers don't wash their garments after using Out White Brite before they apply the dye, they just rinse them. However, I prefer to wash my shirts and get out any remaining Out White Brite as well as part of the smell from the Out product.
