This is one of the most 60's "hippie" dye shirts i've seen, I love it. Just looking at it makes The Grateful Dead start playing in my mind.

I think Meo uses tailor's chalk in his videos. It shows up really well on fabric. I loved your project, as always, Angie. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Angie , really like the multicolor with the black , looks very effective - is there an alternative to out white bright as it's not really available in the UK ? I do use bleach but this looks so much better for removing the colour 🙂
@FunEndeavors2 жыл бұрын
Do you have Rit Color Remover available? It works really well too. It isn't as fast as Out White Brite, but it works the same way without damaging the fabric. That's what I used to use before using Out White Brite. I have a few videos on my channel that show how I use it. Here is a link to one of them: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2PEhZ2Ni9Wsqpo The Rit would probably work faster if I had used all boiling water instead of a combination of hot water from the sink and boiling water. Dharma also sells a color remover that is a Thiox product. I'm not sure if you have a dye supplier in your area, but they may have a color remover of some sort available as well.

At the beginning of the video it said that the shirt was soaked in soda ash, was this done before the bleach process?
@FunEndeavors2 жыл бұрын
The shirt was soaked in soda ash after the Out White Brite was used and the shirt was washed.

there are different color tailors chalk used in sewing.

Thank you - I haven't ever tried that. I've used the pencils you can get in the sewing department, but they aren't soft enough.
