Thank you so much for your videos! I love how detailed they are! Your final products and even the shirts that you are wearing show the craftsmanship, and love put into each one! I am very excited for my first shirt! This is going to be fun!!

Thanks so much, Gary!! I’m glad you enjoy the videos. I tend to be pretty meticulous about my work and I often feel like I go into TOO much detail, so I’m happy to know there are people who appreciate my attention to detail!! Happy Tie Dyeing!! ✌🏻😊

@@KALMTieDyes Do you have a list of supplies that you would recommend for me to get started?
@KALMTieDyes3 жыл бұрын
I don’t have a list, but when I was getting started I did lots of Googling and watched a ton of KZbin Videos. I learned a lot about what I would need that way. My KZbin Videos titled “My First Legit Tie Dye” kinda go over the stuff you need to get started, but it was my very first video and it’s not very detailed. I recommend watching videos from Mr. Tie Dye. I really learned a lot from him when I was just getting started. Good luck and Happy Tie Dyeing!!

I use Dharma Trading Company dyes and love them...regardless of which dye you choose, make sure you get soda ash for your presoak as well as synthropol for washing after you dye. Both of these are going to greatly help you keep your shirts nicely colored.

i guess Im asking randomly but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost the account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!

Did you incline these, and if so did you tilt them collar side up or hem side up? Beautiful work, I’m going to try a couple this weekend, thank you for sharing. ♥️
@KALMTieDyes3 жыл бұрын
Yes, they were dyed on an incline, with the collar being the “highest point” on the shirt so the design moved towards the bottom of the shirt. Hope that helps! ✌🏻♥️😊

It does, thank you!

Ok, one last question before I get started...was your shirt dry or damp before you folded and dyed?
@KALMTieDyes3 жыл бұрын
For these shirts, I folded, tied and dyed them damp.

is this an ice dye? I would love to see the dying process.
@KALMTieDyes3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Yes, it was an ice dye. I didn’t record the dyeing process. If you have specific questions, I would be happy to answer them. :)

What colors did you use on 1 st and 3rd shirt? And did you use ice?
@KALMTieDyes3 жыл бұрын
Hi Angie! I used Brushed Steel from Dharma Trading Company on the 1st and 3rd shirt, and yes, they were ice dyed on an incline. 😊

Awesome! Is this dyed with one color? Black?
@KALMTieDyes3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Shelly! It is dyed with one color: Cobalt Blue from Dharma Trading Company. :)
