I'm new to this and have had a couple successful batches (definitely a learning curve 😬) so I'm trying to get one recipe nailed down and then play with color🤗 Luckily my flavors are always on point so none have gone to the trash can (phew!). My issue is my shells separating from the actual cookie part and the feet are a smidge on the thin side. However during the blooming process they do end up "melding" together but the rise is not as it should be. 🤷‍♀️👨‍🎓🙄 (again, flavors are there but the texture is off and I'm a textural eater!😁) Holy cow! My reply is much longer than I thought 😬😆lol Bottom line is your tye dye mac's are so beautiful & I aspire to have mac's like that!🤗✌And I love that you included the buttercream recipe 💛 Thanks!

I love that you've spent so much time trying to perfect your macarons! Macarons are definitely a work of love because they are so hard to get perfect in a home oven. My biggest tip for your current struggle is making sure first of all that your meringue is whipped perfectly (not over or under whipped). Next would be checking that during the macronage stage when you're thinning out the batter that it's not too thick OR too runny - I feel like it takes a while to get really good at this part. And finally one of the biggest culprits is figuring out your home oven. Since every oven is so unique, you kind of just have to test and play around to see what works best with your oven. Have you tried adjusting the temperature? I'd play around with testing (maybe only one or two macs so you don't ruin a whole batch) the temperature of the oven anywhere from 275° f to 325° f and see what temperature range works best for your particular oven. If you've been testing a bunch I'm sure you've already been playing around with some of these things. Obviously there's not a one fix answer or macarons would be super easy to make 😂😂. I've messed up many, MANY batches trying to get it just right! Seriously can't wait to see your final product using food dye❤️❤️

Thanks so much for the feedback! 😉 I have played around with oven temp (I have oven thermometer as well) and time, then parchment vs. silicone mat, tray with sides vs tray without sides🤯😆...I really try to change only one thing at a time so I know what I'm doing right and wrong lol I believe your right about my meringue being a culprit in my shell formation or lack thereof🤦🏻‍♀️ I think my last batch of meringue was over whipped (I know under is more common but I'm an over doer 😬lol) I also find that in my journey to learn, watching numerous videos has actually made me more "🤨🧐🤔" because some people say only real egg white other say carton, some say no sides on pan, others say sides, some say smush all the air out during macronage and others say not to or they won't rise🤷‍♀️ What's a macaron obsessed girl to do?! Haha🤣 go crazy that's what!🤪 So I really appreciate the time you spent replying to my comment. 🙂 I will never ever give up because I LOVE these little cookies and they actually help my OCD/anxiety issues because they force you to be patient and go slowly. That being said, I have no problem in the "mise en place" department 😁👍😂 I won't stop until I get mac's right and I will continue to study and review your tye dye vid and then I will go for it! I look forward to reporting back to you☺🤞👩‍🍳💛

Hahaha I 1000% understand and relate to everything you just said. There are SO MANY things you have to "get perfect" that it definitely becomes overwhelming.
