Nice tie! Probably the most realistic caddis imitation of the caddis adult I have seen.

Nice tie and nice fly Marc. I’ll be trying my hand at this one. My biggest failing is dubbing straight onto the thread so this method gives me positive inspiration. Thank you

Great tutorial. I now understand how to use the stacker tool. The hackle pliers I guess you twist before each wrap. I don't know when I'll tie this but will try. I don't fish many caddis or drys for that matter. But I really like your patterns and remarkable tools you produce. Thanks again.

Thanks Marc for sharing the caddis fly pattern. I enjoy many of your videos. I am in my late 60's and just started in fly tying a couple years ago and really enjoy it. I see that this video is 3 years old but if you are still offering the fly it would be well received. I would use it now in the U.S. in Pennsylvania where the caddis are hatching in the afternoon.. I would use it fishing for trout mostly. I like it for the floatability of it and you say you can catch 10 fish before drying it or changing it out. So if it is still available i would love to have one to use as a pattern as well. Thanks again for sharing

Love this fly. I would love this fly because in Michigan, caddis are easily one of the most prominent food sources for the trout. I would love to fish this on my home waters and will definitely be giving it a try on the vise as well as on the water.

Beautiful fly and I have and love your vise as well. Very well made. Thanks so much for making such useful tools. I have all your tools except the straight scissors which I have had difficulty finding in the U.S. Don't know why. Curved and long CDC scissors available widely, but the small straight blade, I can't find. All the best and thanks for sharing, Sean

one thing I have done with your whip finisher is I flattened the end of the handle then filed it sharp. next used a diamond to make it even more sharp which was followed by a strop. very sharp and cuts the thread close to the fly. Try it I think you will find it is outstanding to use

Marc one more thing is that i tried to purchase your CDC tool to trim the CDC for use as bodies and hackle, but have not been able to find a distributor in the U.S. that has it. If you would know of one that would be nice to know because i can see that it is a useful tool and would save me a lot of time. Thanks again.

Expertly executed! My question is - where can a Mount Joy, PA (USA) flyfisherman purchase the dubbing loop clip set you used? Thank you again for a nice pattern!

I made this fly few times and found that it works well with a puff CDC as the top wing because it has no spine and is softer. It would be more natural for the fish. What do you think?

Wow, but have you seen what those fancy cdc feathers cost? I think MP sells his contraptions to feed his cdc habit. 😂 Or maybe not, since he hawks the cdc as well. I use cdc whenever I can get my hands on a mallard (dead). Used as a wing, or shuttlecock, it can be re-floated with a little effort, but whole flies made of cdc? Think you might have your work cut out.

The fly is fantastic but 7 CDC feathers for a fly is a bit too much!!
