Tieks vs Butterfly Twists: Which Fold-up Ballet Flats Should You Buy?

I’ve been having Tieks in my wishlist for years, but they are not available in the country I’m leaving in and I never felt comfortable spending that much money online without trying the shoe first. But I hope that in a near future I will be able to get a hand on the pair of Arabian nights Tieks! I did get a pair of Butterfly Twists a couple of years ago for conferences but didn’t get much chance to wear it during the pandemic. I saw our local Costco having a road show of Butterfly Twists and rushed there to try it on and get myself a pair. Luckily they came with a little pouch and they folded nicely without a resin band (Janey Crystal model with a pointed toe ). Thank you so much for this comparison review! I think it's always a good idea to try out a cheaper option to check that it'll work for you before making an investment in a better quality item anyway. That's what I did, and no regrets

Barefoot shoes are actually recommended for plantar fasciitis, so that may be why you find them comfortable (altho neither of these are truly barefoot). And yes, being so much closer to the ground in a barefoot sole cannot be understated; as I found to my cost the first time I tried wearing them in inclement weather 😅. Even if your pair are waterproof you will find that you need to be wary of even the shallowest puddles. And clothing hems that are usually kept a few centimetres off the ground in regular shoes will probably drag on the ground if wearing barefoot, which means you may need to reconsider the clothing you take. But yes, foldable flats are ideal for travel, I've even gone to formal restaurants where I've been able to cloak check my walking shoes to change into my (far dressier) flats

Thanks for showing this video, my girlfriend saw it and now is throwing out lots of her other shoes like flats converse etc hates them, even though they don't stink or worn out gone. She now is in love with tieks

I had 2 pairs of butterfly twists, insoles are memory foam, it absorbed sweat. I wanted to buy more but the odor overtime turned me off.

Tieks r overpriced crap that very uncomfortable. Butterfly twists r cheap but better then Tieks on comfort and looks cuter too
