80 minute long documentary made for Dutch television (NOS/NPS) inspired on the novel by Lutgard Mutsaers about the origin of the Rock & Roll in the late 1950s in The Netherlands by the arrival of Indonesian Dutch. Their teenage sons rebelled against the civic values of Holland during that time and expressed that with greaseheads, fashionable clothes and hard guitar music. Inspired by the Ventures and Elvis Presley already played via Phillipijnse radio stations in Indonesia. They were the drivers, if not founders of the Nederbeat and later Hague beat like Golden Earring and Q65 and great admirer: Jan Akkerman who also has a prominent role in the film. I'm always surprised when there is an unknown act out of the pass for what every reason they are only known by a few but their talent goes beyond some geographical boundary. The Teilman Brothers certainly fit that category. Just want to add this aside, Professor of Rock did a video on Redbone which was just fascinating. the brothers that formed Redbone came from the 50's and transformed into Redbone. What a journey.

You're way off. They are about average for any American garage band of the era. Maybe you ought to get a CD of The Ventures, Duane Eddy, and The Shadows, for a start. All of these were early 60s bands and these guys are playing in the late 60s or early 70s. I know from the guitars. I own one of them and know the year model.

The original title is Ochri Chernye which means Dark Eyes...... There are also many versions, but I prefer this one because it's rhythmical translation suits the song the best. Damn.I'm a 63 year old guitarist,& I've never heard of these guys,but they were badass.I wish the camera would've stayed on the neck during that solo,he was using a technique that is also brand new to me.Music is Aladdin's cave,there is always more to discover.
