The Ishizu Tear mirror is one of the most absurd things I’ve seen in a long time. The fact that you can accidentally start your OPPONENT’S combos by milling Tears off the top of their deck is really frustrating. It feels like instead of getting sacked you’re sacking yourself.

Just a small tip, do not put out rulkallos until your opponent's turn. If you put it out, on your turn, they have priority in draw phase to super poly you. Putting it out after dweller resolves prevents that. Then again you could just be good and cut their super polys to the bottom.

Note: If you detached Reino instead of Scheiren with Dweller, you could've summoned Kaleido too. Then pop Kaleido with Perlereino, revive Kaleido, send Sulliek and search Havnis. An even better board. EDIT: Edited my comment to point another thing cuz there already was a comment for that.

Picked this deck up cuz i thought it would be really fun to play. This deck I feel needs a very good pilot to be effective. Got the rest of my Ishizu stuff a few days ago. Still learning the deck and after a few days I feel like I'm still nowhere near good enough with combo lines to be as effective with this deck as some of the better players. This variant is NUTS though. I have a separate Danger package set aside for when I'm dueling with friends and they don't want to play against this variant. Still pretty good though.

It is possible that even without the ishizu cards, the deck would be just as powerful with the the new kashtira tear adding another layer of milling but we have no way of knowing unless we look at testing Arguably, the real issue with the milling is the fact that it effects both players, so it can lead to toxic mirror matches as well as giving you information and taking away the opponent's resources

Come to think of it, for the most part, in the ishizu tear builds the non fusion extra monsters help with consisting or give you a way to stall or break boards under d barrier. The other builds are where the lack of a fusion locked matter more. Curious, apollousa, griffin.

I'll be playing 1 tournament after the DW deck drops then going into hiatus. Getting sick of playing exclusively against Tear decks... and my locals is playing builds that end on 3 Tax Dragon plus negates, still board 4+ negates through Shifter, while also dodging Nib, searching floodgates, and/or handlooping you. A bit more creative than the normal copy pastes but being 1 of the only 2 people not playing a $4000 Tear deck is hell.

Orange Light is a strong possibility. Plus if you don't draw it the mills are really devastating to Floow, because Floow will have a lot of their key cards put into the grave, which means Stri/Toucan can often end up being overworked.

To completely shut the deck down... Going 1st D-Shifter (No Orange Light), Cosmos, D-Fissure, DD Ground and Silent Graveyard. Dimensional Barrier iffy as they can go into Bagooska if you're playing a deck with mainly monster effects and possibly stall you that way. Going Second D-Shifter (No Orange Light) Mystic Mine (with alt wincons needed as they could quite happily let you deck out otherwise) Nibiru can be impacful if you hit them nearer the end of the combo if they don't have Baronne and they've used Meril/Scherein/Havnis already. But you also have to have a deck that can accept 10-15 card mills on their turn (and yours) Everything else going second is a minor tickle.

I disagree about cutting out grave keepers trap and exchange of the spirit. Having exchange in your graveyard while Kelbek triggers grave effect means you can keep looping your traps, like tearlaments cryme or sulliek. And if you take out grave keepers trap then you eliminate mudoras in hand effect, an effective way to get your agido or Kelbek from hand into graveyard.
