I expected Hydra in S. Sure, they make your hero slow, but all it takes is Haste for them to be INSANE, I've found them outright better than dragons on some campaign maps. Alternatively, running one Hydra and one Dragon based hero was pretty cool in the final map.

Top tier thumbnails as always 😃 Where do you think Heroes 1 Hydras are compared to every other Hydra (Heroes2, 3, 4 etc)?

Greetings, Lord Phixfox! ✨ Thank you for the compliment, I’m having a lot of fun with these thumbnails, haha! 🎨😄 As for the Hydras, that’s a very interesting question! 🧐 I feel like they’ve lost much of their former glory throughout the series in terms of effectiveness. They tend to slow down your army and their damage output keeps getting weaker… 😬 In Heroes IV, I’m not an expert, so i cant tell… but their biggest weakness-speed-makes them rather underwhelming, especially with the battlefield getting larger in heroes 2 and 3… very easily kitable… Unless you have Haste or Teleport, they’re nearly unusable and will drag your army down on the adventure map. 😕 they better stay home. 🤪 So, I’d say the Heroes I Hydras shine brighter than the rest? @ The purple dragons deserve a tier of their own because they make you forget about all other units and completely force you to build your entire economy around them… 😆 Hydras look pretty weak in comparison anyway! 😜 Thank you su much again !
