My reading goal for this year is 36 books, I have no idea how you manage to read so many books. I think I'd cap off at 50. That would be the absolute max for me. I also really loved Misery, Carmilla, and The Yellow Wallpaper. Misery was my first read of this year, and reading it while you're snowed in hits different. I've got the Joy Luck Club on my TBR for this year because you've spoken so highly of it! And also Guncle. I wanted to read it last year, but it got lost in the TBR lol. My favorite reads of last year that I highly recommend were The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi & Tress of the Emerald Sea. They were both super fun, five star, fantasy reads.

for me i think its bc of the series and people envisioning the show characters as them - at least that was the case for me! lol

I was wondering the same thing. After reading about the horrific things he’s done I don’t want to read anything else by him. Don’t want to give him my money. 🤮

I’m super behind but that ‘call an ambulance’ meme is my first time seeing it and I just think that’s so hilarious 😆 I love the idea of this tier ranking system. Absolutely loved Yellowface. I need to catch up and read a lot of these

Funny story and the seven year slip are top tier books hahaa. Your hate for lucy score and tessa bailey kinda books are soo valid i genuinely do not get people who like these books wheres the plot at fr...things we left behind was the fastest book I have ever DNFed it was just so unbelievably poorly written. Im really gonna have to pick up the invisible life of addie larue and RF Kuangs books soon

Out of the 5 books where we overlap from last year, we only agree on 1 (Addie LaRue) 😂 I think it’s mostly because we have different tastes when it comes to romance. Still love your channel and your takes! ❤

Being that I am from the Hunger Games generation. i kind of get it. Now I have powerless and reckless and i am going to read it but I have heard people say its a lot like Hunger Games… but my thoughts on books like this is its perfect for the newer generations who may have not read Hunger Games or grew up with it. Its also how I feel when people talk about the Magnolia Parks series - I havent read any of them yet… but see I grew up reading All the Gossip Girl Books and watching the TV series multiple times.. so I wonder sometimes when people say its like Gossip Girl in the UK if I will see that and compare it to it.

I actually picked up Funny Story on your recommendation. I had decided I was done but gave this book a try. I started with the audiobook, but then I wanted a physical copy. I should just have stuck with audiobook, but I did enjoy it, just not a favorite

Ali Hazelwood not formulaic? There is a reason I stopped reading her book after her novellas + The Love Hypothesis and Love on the Brain. Couldn't deal with the building-sized men and tiny-so-quirky-brains-only-work-in-school/work-settings-only. Felt like reading about the same people in different wigs. I call them all Olive and Adam in different jobs/settings. Maybe she's changed but I already gave up five books in.

Hey Friend, Happy Sunday. Where are the tiers going? You had to fix them not once but twice. It would be so hard for me to remember the plot/message about every book. I’m actually surprised that you only had 2 call an ambulance but not for me. 😮😅
