Fourth Wing was also my favorite this year, but I didn’t read that much. I published my first two books this year and I’m proud as hell! The bookstagram bubble is so amazing and I’m so happy about every single one that supported me on that journey! The love for books really brings people together ♥️

This was the year I rediscovered my love for fantasy and I have to credit the Caraval series for that. Like you, I picked it up just to get some context before diving into Once Upon A Broken Heart and I was pleasantly surprised by how immersive it was for me. I really enjoyed the Caraval series but I can't stop thinking about ouabh. Excited to finally try ACOTAR, The Cruel Prince and many other books/series next year and learn more about what I like. ❤

I choose books completely differently to you. I use Book Bub to find new books and read ones I think look interesting and usually have a 4+ star rating. I do wonder how many books I'm missing out on, by limiting the rating. I have nearly 300 unread on my Kindle though, so I'm not short on choice 😂 I'm glad I have Good Reads to tell me my ratings, otherwise, I'd definitely forget :D In 2023 I read 36 books and my only five star was a re-read of Code Name Verity. I also very rarely rate things one star. Only one book in 2023, because I DNFed it. It was I’d Really Prefer Not to Be Here with You, and Other Stories. Very Black Mirror-ish and the stories never felt complete to me.

I also read the ACOTAR series last year. I still need to read the last book though. Definitely a solid 4.5 stars despite the weird scenes lol. Apparently I read a lot of nonfiction last year 😮.

I’m 31, and also haven’t been able to to read/watch highschool characters. Even college. Especially if there’s like romance it feels like something I should not be witnessing 😂 having a hard time starting Red Rising cause the main character seems to be underage (our world standards) and it makes me feel gross lol
