I also LOVED Drive Your Plow but I have not connected with any of her other novels, like I have not finished any other one. So excited to read Paradise Rot and Seoul Park Jelly soon though! You should give Life Ceremony by Sayaka Murata a read if you want a short story collection that is unhinged and weird as fuck. Same for her novel Earthlings.

May I ask what A Year Rest and Relaxation you liked? I liked the concept at first, but the book was ultimately disappointing, and I didn't really like it overall. It was very bland and not in good taste to me. (But I do really love love Donna and tsh lol)

@@abbihig I think I just enjoyed the character and her flaws. I definitely prefer Eileen and I agree that it was rather disappointing in terms of plot and stuff, but I do find explorations of depression and so on quite interesting. I also went into it expecting it to be crap so I had lower expectations
