One of my favorite parts of Rebirth is how much they expanded on the two women's relationship. They show genuine love and support for each other, even if they are times vying for the same man. They is real friendship between the two, and it's fun to see! Last of FF7 Rebirth video for now!

I just got done reading an article about one of the devs who worked on the original biggest regret is not conveying their friendship in the original. I'm glad they're able to convey it so well here. It's honestly been a highlight of the game to see them being besties.

expanding upon the friendship between friendship and tifa as well as their friendships with barret, yuffie, and red xiii was the best thing to come out of this remake to me but also... it hurts so damn bad hearing tifa's tearful "aerith!" and barret's "I'LL KILL YOU" thank you so much for your compilation! i've been waiting for this!

I love, love, love that the devs could've easily made them rivals, but instead, they chose to make them close friends, almost like sisters even. It's especially sweet when you remember Aerith had no one growing up, yet fate brought Tifa (and the rest of the squad) into her life. It's sweet, I love the friendship they have.

Definitely, they also have lovers in their mind they have been with (Aerith with Zack and Tifa with Cloud,) so that is a thing.

Nice that they gave them both a relationship independent of cloud in the remake, they literally had to deleted draft concept of a "catfight" scene between these two in the OG. plus both characters are way more fleshed out then their OG counterparts, especially Tifa.

When Tifa fans say Tifa dislikes Aerith, it’s not Tifa. It’s the fans. Maybe they need to learn a thing or two from Tifa and Aerith. They don’t need a man to stop them from being friends.

@@devtec79some of us are not. Me for example. I love their friendship. It is a treasure in this game. I dont like love triangle at all but i had made an exception here. It is impossible to choose between Tifa and Aerith. They are so full of wonderful personality that you cant resist their charms.

The best part about the entrance to the gold saucer is that Yuffie Tifa and Aerith just know the choreography for the dance perfectly. It’s still a shame Andrea didn’t rope cloud into his side of the dance though

I have been looking for a compilation video like this! one of my favorit things in ff7 is the sisterhood, friendship and admiration of both of them. They are so endearing and I missed it in the original game

I love their friendship even with their mutual feelings for cloud. it's so refreshing to have them be such good friends and not at each other's throats over a guy.

As Aerith mentions in Kalm (and Nibelheim), it's nice to have a childhood friend, she tell Cloud not to take her for granted so i see it as Aerith more or less respecting that Tifa has "greater right" to Cloud, while Tifa on the other hand respects that she and Cloud were never a couple or anything so even if one or both of them are jealous, they are adult enough to not let it affect their own friendship. Like, Aerith gets jealous as hell when Cissnei mentions she has met Cloud before :P But not when he's around Tifa.

I love that the creators decided to expand this relationship by making Aerith and Tifa great friends rather than have Cloud come between them. It's lovely to see how they respect and support each other. Tbh, Remake and Rebirth do an excellent job expanding on the rapport between all these characters. There's a real sense of comradery and love that develops over time.

Both of them are girl's girls. I love that the devs almost showed a sisterly support system to one another. It was more heartbreaking to see Tifa react to the inevitable.😢

Most lesbian, real life, or fictional, couples don’t have both being girl’s girls, which I’d love to see way more of, cause that representation is needed so much for more girl’s girls to consider their best girlfriends as love interests or just being intimate with them.

Their friendship is my favourite relationship in Rebirth. It was cute in Remake but it's so sweet in Rebirth. Aerith whispers protecting Tifa in Mako. When Red suggested Aerith seek out Tifa to ease her troubled mind and how Aerith's face lit up and genuinely said "Yeah" like it would solve her problems. How Tifa confides in Aerith when she's doesn't know what to do or what to say. How the camera pans immediately to Tifa when Aerith makes her speech about having friends she loves. And obviously how devastated Tifa is in the end of Rebirth. I hope there is more closure for them in Part 3.

As someone who was a teen when advent children came out, i personally think it's refreshing to see the difference in the fandom in each era I remember back then there was so much catfight-ish narrative between the fans of the girls. Fanfics that focus on one girl sometimes have bashing of the other as well Meanwhile newer fans wholeheartedly accept that they are the bestest of friends and sometimes they even root for aerti to be together instead of pining over cloud. That is a lot of positive progress

Shippers just ruined the narrative. Glad the devs have expounded the friendship of Aerith and Tifa. Clearly both girls are talking about Cloud's mental health whenever they have the time.

I unironically look forward to Aerith and Tifa friendship moment mor than cloud shipping scene, even though I am a shipper myself. Both of them share so much bond together that when Tifa cried for Aerith, it broke my heart more than Cloud's reaction in the OG.

I hurt at the fact that Tifa has no line of dialogue after Aerith's death... Remake had them become budding friends. And this entire game had them develop such a deep friendship that they might as well have been sisters. And now? Tifa lost someone else she loved away from her.

While I am glad they finally ended this "Aerith and Tifa both want Cloud" nonsense, and while I like the friendship scenes between Tifa and Aerith, I wish they'd done the same thing for Aerith and Cloud. Right now if you do a barebones playthrough of the game you'll totally understand why Tifa and Aerith are friends, and you'll get a deep understanding of why Cloud and Tifa love each other. But you get essentially nothing for Cloud and Aerith until chapter 12 and onwards where you're suddenly supposed to believe they have a strong bond. While with Tifa/Aerith and Cloud/Tifa many if not all of their scenes are set-up, all the Aerith scenes are essentially pay-off, which doesn't really work. This is less of a problem if you do all the side-quests (although still a bit), but the game should make sense in every playthrough.

Their strong bond started in Remake. You get two whole chapters of Cloud and Aerith bonding over doing fun stuff, while Tifa only goes on missions with Cloud with very little time for bonding.
