Ethan Hawke is a life teacher. He's not afraid to be truthful and a little bit vulnerable and be open about the knowledge he's acquired. Most people either don't reflect as much about life or don't bother to share their valuable insight.

this was just brilliant. such a pleasure, to listen to. I’ve been following Ethan for a few years now,,and.. it is always refreshing to hear him talk about anything, really. Besides.. he’s always so committed to the interviewer and the audience. He’s not just there participating. he’s actually living the moment, and giving it his all. such truth. Again.. What a pleasure..what a privilege to witness. Makes me feel there is still great ppl out there, even within this crazy industry.

I can't believe this video is this underrated. This is an amazing interview. He is so open, it shows that he likes the audience, also him reading the un-edited version of A Bright Ray of Darkness is amazing.

I was just about to look up whether he made that into a full piece. Thanks for the title. This was one of his best interviews.

Come on seriously what actor gives you anything close to this in an interview? Ethan has been my favorite actor since his Before Sunrise/Reality Bites days… and by the way tell that kid asking for a picture to piss off !!

Am I the only one thinking the interviewer might be Andy Richter? And that Andy Richter might be a lot cooler than you'd ever thought?
