Impressed by how all those runs are so light and don't get in the way of the main melody at all, great stuff.

What an extraordinary performance. How she managed to bring out the poetry behind this piece is close to magic. I have been waiting for this upload since the day I watched it in the livestream concert. Also, again, thanks to Steinway & Sons for the free loan of this model B. It is an outstanding instrument of which Tiffany brings out the very best.

Thank you Tiffany. KZbin is doing a good job leading us to these videos. I am an old curmudgeon who rarely listens to pieces from the 19th century. You showed up in a suggestions list along with Charles Wuorinen, Milton Babbitt, and other such late 20th century avant garde composers! I have heard of Liszt, piano player right?, and now I have heard of you, and for that I am grateful. Keep up the tradition. Wanna dare some Schoenberg or Webern?

Tiffany was a lovely young pianist, but she appears to be turning into a young & immature version of Lang Lang. Tiffany, you are so immensely gifted and musical, please drop the pretentiousness, the bizarre gesticulation, the weird mannerisms and just play the music. I love you, but this gets a thumbs down from me. Yundi Li gets this right on every level.
@mencken84 жыл бұрын
While it is true that I date from a time when music was mainly an activity for the ears, just as it is possible to mute the sound, it is also possible to listen and not be burdened with a visual experience that -in your opinion- is distasteful.
@MariaMaltseva4 жыл бұрын
@@mencken8 Those unnatural movements do affect the music. But I’m being unduly harsh. She is lovely, talented and beautiful. I love her playing, her attitude, her intelligence & her kindness. And that’s more than enough.
@oxoelfoxo3 жыл бұрын
I get distracted when watching her, too, so I just don't look.
@IvanGueorguiev Жыл бұрын
@@MariaMaltseva I disagree, I don’t see any movements that interfere or that are unnatural. Her technique is fabulous and every movement is a reflection of the character she is painting with the sound. She is just playing the music. There is nothing bizarre or pretentious or extreme for that matter here, in fact it’s all necessary for a good performance. Go take your thumbs elsewhere
