the exact fact that she could've mentioned this long time ago but she didn't until now. there had always been speculations of their friendship or more ever since they were seen having interactions. if she had said anything before, it would've caused controversy/backlash from armys and sones that affects not only them individually but would affect their respective groups. this applies to all kpop groups, they have to be more cautious and careful of opposite sex friendships because of potential immature fans getting angry/possessive. it's sad but true

Don't ignore that blacklisting idols who no longer have anything to do with you is just as bad. Also don't act like rigorous restrictions on a career isn't as disgusting as it is on someone's life.
