Betty here. This is one of the first quilts I made about 8 years ago. Mine is soft emerald green with little white trees and white. Still needs quilting. 🎉

Using 2 colors are beautiful. I made one of these before and had a lot of leftovers pieces. I have been wanting to make another quilt and will definitely try your way so I don’t have much left over scraps.

The way you taught this block is PRICELESS! I have only made a hunter's star quilt once. I had a lot of fun with a pattern that turned the points into half square triangles ... the key to the pattern is I only made it once. I really like pointy blocks, but you rekindled my enjoyment of pointy blocks with this video. The HST plan was actually too much inefficiency! I have bookmarked this video because I am sure I will forget, but now I have it saved and I can easily remember what you have taught. I only have fifty two quilts tops (or more) that need to be quilted ... but, just in case I run out ... LOL I hope that your work on the design wall saved you some time and energy - - SERIOUSLY! It was fun to watch the stills go by, though I did miss your "chatter" ... I am not here for mindless entertainment, and you provide much appreciated POSITIVE input and encouragement. As I said, I LIKED the design wall filling up, but was abundantly pleased when you saved the last few blocks for more training. So creative! I cannot tell you how much you have put into my life and learning because you are just so thorough. I do not ever want to take what you do for granted. Your videos are just so INSPIRATIONAL - - on so many levels. The lazy daisy quilting was PERFECT! Beautiful! The butterfly was PRICELESS! This makes me want to cut up all my big pieces of fabric into ten inch squares - - at this point, my only other idea has been Scrappy Mountain Majesties, but this certainly look like a better use of large pieces of colorful "scraps".

Tiffany I just have to say your tutorials are so complete and easy to follow. I enjoy just sitting here and watching you complete a block even if it isn’t one I plan on making. I understand and can stop along way to follow you even without the pattern being printed out.. I love that you show the different ways to do these blocks so that if you don’t have the “tools” you can still make the blocks. Some tutorials just push the tool end of the tutorial. When I first started quilting there we only templates we made and no you tube. This is so much better. Quilting can be fun not stressful. Thank you for your encouragement and time. Hope you are doing well and that the heat isn’t playing to hard on your health.❤
