This is so exciting! REALLY! I have bins and bins of fabric and have called in friends to help with all of my scraps and yardage and fat quarters and tools, and ... and MORE than I know what to do with, with a move coming up in three years to a single room in my daughter's home, ninety miles away. I am a hoarder, hunter gatherer; daughter is a minimalist with nothing that I would ever want to own (would rather buy fabric and save scraps than eat!) ... life is a challenge - - and you come along with a working video. This is GREAT!

New shelves? You used to have your quilts hung up behind you. Been awhile since I watched, but I am so glad that nothing has changed otherwise. Absolutely made my day. 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤

This is so timely. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed on how to begin to organize my sewing room. Some on the floor like yours. I don’t know where to even start.

The best I can do is create an appetite for quilting in my friends so we can share my excess fabric and I will get their scraps! LOL. Trust me! It will work out very well. Your video is the perfect way for me to end my day! Thank you!

I really enjoyed this video. It’s nice to see how other people store their fabric. I quit buying yardage. I like scraps so that’s most of my quilts. I appreciate the insight. I enjoy your videos and you motivate me.

The prints you call "weird" are Abstract prints. Abstractions of things, such as ocean waves or flowers or whatever. I organize like you, by theme/design, designer, and also color, like lights, darks. Great minds think alike. 😸

I’d never be able to make a decision with that many choices.

separating according to color even though they are the same pattern. Good decision.

Okay, so a tip that Bonnie Hunter has is: To determine that basic color of fabric is to view it from about six feet away. One of the things I thought of, as you were trying to decide color: Take a stab at the basic color, put it where you perceive it to be, in time, you will come across that fabric and it will either fit, or you will move it to a different color. Right now, you are like binging on color (focused on color). I think overtime, senses get dulled. It will be interesting how you view things in about three days, but you will have made a good start on organization - - none of that is wasted.

Thank you for sharing this! I need to reorganize my sewing room! I love the way you organized all of your fabric! It will take me some time to do it because I’m waiting to have back surgery after I fell on Dec 10th! I’m hoping the insurance will authorize it soon! ❤

I saw it as brown, but if my only choice is purple or pink, I would put it in the pink (then you may see the brown. LOL)

I love your stash, but having this much fabric to chose from would completely overwhelm me. Where do you start when selecting fabric for a project?

Good evening! You have your work cut out for you! Do you just fold your fabric or is it wrapped around something?

Are you not worried about your fabrics fading from light exposure when they are stored on open shelves?
