Tiffen Fog Filter II: The Legend of Curly's Gold

With fog on the mind, or is that a foggy mind, Casey heads back into the wild to shoot some black and white photographs with his Tiffen Fog filter again.
Not happy with the results he got a few months ago, Casey is on a redemption mission, hoping to strike gold. Unfortunately the vein might have dried up, but maybe there's something glimmering in this video.

I agree with your assessment: this filter works best for isolated subjects. I thought the leaf photos were slick, but the others could have been slicker. City slicker. 2. I also like your interest in experimenting. Who needs another channel of someone blasting out golden hour shots on portra 400 using $2,000 worth of equipment?

You are my hero, hahahaha! Also I got probably $2k worth of equipment, but it's definitely not in one camera. More so it's in a dozen cameras in various conditions, definitely in the used [EXC 3+] bracket

I liked the B&W night images from the fair. I bought a yellow filter after having watched one of your videos. I’m not convinced about getting this one though. Not for me.

I'm starting to think there won't be a Tiffen Fog 3 review, hahahaha. No worries, it's very stylistic and maybe just too bold for most applications. Learning what you dislike is just as important as learning what you do like! Also, yellow filters are a cheat code for black and white photography!

I think so too, they probably would of came out a bit stronger without the filter, but it was a fun experiment.

I love your honesty, hahaha With all honesty, I think I over did it myself too, so much so I haven’t picked up either filter since this shoot, hahaha
