Tiffin and La Mesa Repaired our Water-Damaged RV: What We Found at Pick-Up Nearly Three Months Later

I could not tell you how much I appreciate following your issues between Tiffin and La Mesa R.V.. I have been hearing horror stories, literally from coast to coast about La Mesa R.V.. And after hearing, and seeing all of the failures from Tiffin, you can rest assure I would never do businesswith either at this point in time. The fact that you spent good money and are having to go through what you’re going through now and previously is unbelievable. Thanks again.

We must have purchased our Tiffins at the same time cause we’re having (almost) all of the same issues! Your Girard awning solution is a game changer as we often just give up going back in to stop it or open it back up again! Ty!!

It's nice to know we're not alone in experiencing these problems, although we don't wish misfortune on anyone. Nothing makes us happier than hearing that our videos have helped someone fix a very frustrating issue. It was such a simple solution, and even the so-called experts had no idea how to do it. Yes, the light being out was due to a leaky seal on the light itself, but they fixed that one pretty quickly. Water is the bane to everything RV, and it is a constant battle trying to keep it on the outside where it belongs. Thanks for the well-wishes.

Just left the Tiffin Service center. Headed back to WA state. They were awesome and fixed everything. 30+ items. Some small some not so. Next time take it to Red Bay. Everything was done in a week ny techs who only work on the Wayfarer.

Glad you got your motorhome back. As I might have mentioned previously we have a 2024 Tiffin Wayfair RLW. We've had multiple repairs done under the warranty which took about 3 weeks and just got it back about 2 weeks ago. They had to replace the entire shower faucet and water miser because it was leaking. The strap that holds the Murphy bed up broke and it had to order a new one. The Max Air fan in the in the galley warped and the blades were hitting so they had to replace it. Then we took it to a Mercedes service center to figure out why it jumps forward while it's in park. They had it for 2 weeks and could not recreate the problem for them. So we're just going to hope for the best. Then we took it to a window tinting service center and had the passenger and drivers windows tinted so it really cuts down on the amount of light it provides more privacy.

It seems we are not alone in having a rough time with warranty repairs. Thanks for listing the issues you have had. We will keep an eye on those areas in our coach. We are considering doing the window tinting, but are hesitating due to concerns about visibility. Please let us know how you fare with the darker windows. That will help with our decision. Thanks.

@@halffasttravelers2702 last i knew in canada front passenger n driver window tinting is illegal. Just like not allowed to put up window shades on em either while driving. (But u can on your rear n back windows of a vehicle that has a back seat. ) Oh the laws are so chaotic on this planet, lol, just check it out. 🍻

@halffasttravelers2702 yes the windows are not tinted so dark that that it might cause a safety issue. The percentage we went with our tint was 30% We had a professional do it and it was $187

Yes, the laws in Florida are quite liberal on window tinting, probably due to the heat and sunshine. Here, you can go as dark as you want in the back, and on the front side windows you can go up to 30%. The windshield is a no-no though.

Not before pickup, but we haven't noticed any issues in our tests thus far. Our last issue occurred with the slide in so we took it as a good sign that there was no water intrusion. We're keeping an eye on it. Thanks.

Three months is not a long time for those types of repairs. In 2015 it was 4 months for repairs to our Fleetwood Class A after an accident where someone hit us. Enjoy your RV.

Yes, we did have an additional issue right before the storm, but it was a leaking seal around the running light above the driver compartment. The light was full of condensation and not working. They completed that repair within a day or two of discovery, and it looks good as far as we can tell. Thanks for the kind words of support as always.
