Imagine watching the game on TV. You go to get a drink and come back to see two players from the same team red carded. You'd be confused, wondering why the ref sent off both players. In the weekly Premier League review, they explained that Dyer wouldn't pass the ball to Bowyer during the game, which led to the fight. What surprises me most is Shearer's reaction. After the fight, he's arguing with the referee. Why would he be angry at the ref in this situation? Both of them would go on to join West Ham United later on. Dyer's career started at Ipswich Town, while Bowyer's career ended there. A similar thing happened with Blackburn Rovers in the Champions League in the mid 90s.
