When you mentioned possibly making a video of transitioning from a rotary to a cylinder and info for first time cylinder users.... Keen as a green

Yep thanks. Next day off I'll be filming part 2, have already filmed most of part 1..

Looking forward to seeing the process you use to get the TifTuf down to 10mm. You also have a great opportunity to compare TifTuf with Santa Ana. It's Santa Ana for me, that's for sure, and by looking at your lawns both now and previous, I'd say Santa Ana too! So much Lawn Marketing around so called premium brands $$$

Back looking good Matt and Front is amazing! Look forward to the transition out the back.

Can't wait for the new videos on going from rotary to cylinder mow. I've been working away the last 24 days and my partner been mowing the lawn with a rotary

@@lawnporn Are the "rotary to cylinder" transition videos out yet? I'm in that exact spot now - new TifTuf lawn, currently rotary cutting and wanting to move to cylinder mowing.

Very impressive with the back yard mate. Looking as good as it does with the temperatures, mowing only once a week and watering every 10 days. My KBG lawn needs much care like your front lawn while I mow at 17 - 19 mm with the Allett

Thanks for sharing your experiences especially with the Tif Tuf as I’m considering installing a front section, 150sq metres later this month before Toowoomba’s winter . Will be keen to see your upcoming videos on going from rotary to reel mowing as I’m impressed with the finish and stripping your achieving and weighing up the pros and cons . Love your vlogs, keep up the good work. Best Wishes and keep safe 👍

We’ve got ≈100m² of TifTuf out the front of our place just south of Toowoomba, and it’s excellent. Very little maintenance and is staying green and lush while the other, lesser couches either side are browning off.

Great videos! Im looking to lay 25m2 TifTuf soon. What base do you recommend laying the lawn over. Is sand o.k?
@lawnporn5 ай бұрын
Sand is ok. Will have to pay attention to nutrients and soil wetting.

I love the lawn. But I couldn't help but notice the weeds in the garden beds. Is the Tiff Tuff very invasive?
@lawnporn3 жыл бұрын
Yep I haven't really put the effort into this garden yet. There has been some invasion and I will also have to do some paving edging on both bits of the yard.

Hi, my tifturf grass had more weed so I used weed killer which made more dry patches in my grass. Any tip how to fix it ?

Hi Matt - love your work I live in Melbourne planted tiftuf in early Jan, I did my best to level it but it got cooked by the differences in thickness of the qwelts, should i top dress now and should I aerate first? Simon
@lawnporn3 жыл бұрын
low mow and topdress now, you'll be fine and it will come back quick s it is the end of summer

@@lawnporn thanks so much. Weekend sorted. I also plan to buy a brand new 14inch reel mower (never owned one) budget 2.5k max. what do you recommended?
@lawnporn3 жыл бұрын
@@simonmeehan9598 the only “new” 14’s probably would be an Allett 14 of some sort. ADE Turf would be worth a look. An R18 from MowMaster is wider 18’ and a bit more than your budget but might be worth a look.
@simonmeehan95983 жыл бұрын
@@lawnporn thanks Matt - will check it out. I see protea do a 14" as well. I only have like 80m² out the front and the same out back. 14" feels like it would be a good size

Good video! How would the tif tuf go through winter in Melbourne? Will it brown off until spring? It's the only reason I'm hesitant
@lawnporn3 жыл бұрын
I think it would go better than other couches like Santa Ana. It is a little hard for me to say because I am not in the Melb climate. I would say that yes it will go dormant and not look its best but if you grow a bit longer mid autumn and into winter you'll probably pull. Maybe look at this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3yydaqhiZufgq8
@lcoombe3 жыл бұрын
It browns off the least between Nullarbor Couch, Eureka Kikuyu Premium VG, Sir Grange Zoysia (very expensive), Sir Walter. RTF will stay about the same colour but it will go through alot of water in the summer. I took some pictures at the Anco turf farm over a period of a couple of years for comparison (I live in South East Melbourne and was asking the exact same question). Some guys at landscape supplies are going to install Tiff Tuff in there own houses as well, you just need to be careful with shade during winter.

How fast does it grow compared to Santa Ana?
@lawnporn3 жыл бұрын
They're fairly identical. I think the TifTuf definitely grounded in faster.

Matt, how did the Ego go with the thickness of the lawn. I am considering purchasing one but have a real concern about the units ability cope? How did it cope when catching, did it block up the Shute? And how did it perform when mulching. Thanks in advance for any feedback! Front is looking awesome‼️ Cheers, Brian
@lawnporn3 жыл бұрын
Hey Brian! I think the Ego would handle most situations well. It doesn’t go lower than 25mm. I haven’t had any issue with power or the shute clogging. The double cut blade helps keep the clippings smaller. I haven’t done much in the way of mulching mows sorry. The front is coming together but the 🐇 are hurting it bad and I’m still waiting for the retaining wall to be done so I know where the edge will be. There will be some growing into that area needed before it really shapes up.
