I love Tig Notaro's style of comedy. She starts out with a story, tells a side story, and you kind of expect to know the direction of her joke and punchline, but half way through her story- you totally become lost and ask yourself "what the hell happened?" Its funny as hell and some people get annoyed because it kind of meanders from topic to topic.

And FYI for the people spreading false information in the comments section. She didn't accuse Louie CK of sexually harassing her. There were multiple female comedians saying a popular comic was masturbating in front of them. Rosanne finally named the person as Louie CK, and Louie gave a strange, vague answer...never dispelling the rumor. When asked about it, Tig said he should take care of the situation and explain himself. That's all that's been said on Tig's part. She's not one of the female comedians in question.

Interesting how she only cared after is was massively public. This has been known for quite a long time, but she didn't seem to care when he was advancing her career. Seeing as though I'm a random nobody from the middle of nowhere and I knew about this years ago, I find it incredibly hard to believe that Tig also did not know about it working with him. What he did is incredibly wrong, but it's just as wrong to ride his coattails until it's not publicly okay to do so and then act like you were never okay with it.

It's especially bad since his standup act is so much about creepy men and their need to jerk off - it worked fine as long as people weren't aware that pretty close to reality in his case.

Jesus said "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." (Matthew 19:24) I always wonder why there are no bigots running around trying to convert rich people to give away their money, since Jesus himself said that rich people go to hell. ^^
@spectaclereplication7 жыл бұрын
You forget that underlying the principles of evangelism, or its current incarnation, is a deep hatred for humanity, a.k.a. misanthropy. These "bigots" want to see groups of people dead or denied. Whereas the "liberal" is against that unique person - someone who has demonstrated anti-social behaviors- a trump for example, the right winger (the braggart) hates many - and this is inherently dishonest and corrupt for obvious reasons in life. This is the difference so often overlooked. One wonders why.

Human Friendly Languages One thing that is always interesting to me is like the people in the clip, who are... misguided. Some of them really feel like they're helping, or they are trying to help. They have a conviction and are acting on it, which is admirable. It's just a crying shame that it's is so misguided and is causing all the stress and harm that it does. But I suppose, in their view, it's worth it. Anyway, I see you've got a channel going! Good luck with that! I'm going to be posting a video in about a week at Chronically Curious. I'm chronically ill and a lifelong learner and I'm kind of tired of seeing what people say about people with invisible illness and not saying anything. I'm not sure anyone is ever going to watch them, but I feel like it's better than staying silent. So I'm trying to sort of be more aware, when on KZbin, of people who are working on their content. I hope everything goes well for you.

They are not given a choice. And immigrating to another country is not that easy. I have known of people who police have banged down their door because they were "suspected gay" - This particular individual had to run into the mountains and luckily was granted asylum in The Netherlands, but many of her friends were disappeared". I have also seen people fired from their job in other countries for "suspected gay". The world is incredibly cruel and there are millions of individuals that are in serious danger. And I really hope you haven't been decapitated (cause this conversation would need a ouija board hehehe). Take a moment to read the news regarding gays in countries like Russia, Egypt or India... or ask what ISIS does to "suspected gays".
