Dude just wanna say thank you for what you do I’ve been fabricating and welding stainless, aluminum and mild steel for a company for the last 10 years and just recently subbed to your channel and a few of the other ones. It’s amazing how much better my welds have gotten and realizing how much I was doing wrong but again thank you for your content and your art is amazing

Dc weld looked like an aluminum caterpillar 🐛 Good stuff... I change polarities for different rods - 7018 is usually DCEP , which I forget occasionally. I though AC stood for apple cobbler 😎🤦♂️ Challenge- ever tried to tig aluminum arrow shafts together? Let’s see it... could be some cool art.

I got an aluminum question. Does the grade of the aluminum piece you are welding make a difference as far as set up goes for using AC? So for instance say I'm welding 6061 grade aluminum with a thickness of a 1/4 inch on an open butt joint. What settings would I have to change on my welding unit to achieve a successful and clean weld? Your insight would be most appreciated and valued.
