I’ve treated a painter who developed neurological symptoms due to poisoning from the use of lead white paint. Reading up on lead fumes you can easily find the places where people got lead poisoning on a later age i.e. car battery production. I can only presume more lead fumes are produced during welding than through I.e. the use of paint. You’re health on the long term as a welder is determined by the efficiency of your fume extraction let alone welding lead. I would agree with your conclusion to weld aluminum, but not because you suck it. Those welds looked nice to me.

TIG welding lead was something I wanted to try last year, and that I might have to do at some point to fabricate a specific shape for an electolisys device. I would have bet money that it needed AC but you clearly showed DC is better for lead.
