We were kinda separate though hell outside of the area the rest of Cardiff probably doesn't even understand there was a difference,i`m not saying we didn't mix but there was a divide between the Docks and Butetown and i suppose Pomeroy that outsiders don't get...i think that's why we`er usually overlooked when Butetown gets talked about We were the Williams from 18 Eleanor Street

@@wildfire160 very true you get my point, frustrating that it was like our little area was unique, but it never gets a mention, The Hamadryad, we was all very close knit down there and never any trouble or vandalism. Wouldn't have swapped it for any other area . My mams family the Brotherton' s were also from your neck of the woods, the old Docklands, South William Street.

@@wildfire160 St Cuthberts School was our base, played Ellener St School football every week on a Wednesday, Mr Walsh and Mr Wickham organised them games for us. Loved it me.

@@Steaks652 We lived next door to the school but moved out when the redevelopment started...my older brothers were the real Docks boys me ive great memories but was young when we moved...
