Hank Haney is the man! Literally fixed my swing watching this video. - set up open face - Swing like you’re line driving to the second baseman! Drives and 3 wood is going straight and far now!

Really fun to watch. I don't struggle with a slice anymore (fortunately) but found it fascinating to watch his instruction. I wish more instructors on KZbin would use real people to demonstrate their claims because that's proof that their lessons work. Instead, they just show them (as professionals) hitting the ball. Loved this!

This video CHANGE my slice at right to day, I did what he says at 11:20 minute and now I hit the ball straight out - Great Thanks from Denmark

Omg... I've known all of this (in my head) but couldn't get it all to connect. ONE thing fix my swing; "turn your left hand".... That was the piece I was missing. Thank you Hank.

I just tried the abbreviated version of this and it helped me tremendously today (first time trying it). I can actually hit my driver! Can’t wait to put this, more thorough process into practice. I was NEVER able to hit my driver. Always kept it in my bag. I’m loving golf again.

Probably the best video I’ve ever seen! Fixed my swing path, and it’s not overly complicated!

Yep, I read comments all the time claiming something works and the tricks always fall short. I tried this today on the range after slicing for 12 years. (I basically use my 3 iron off the tee) - hitting them straight as can be. The trick is to turn your hands a quarter swing before bottoming out. I had to get timing down but I’ll be damned if the only bad shot I had was a hook or two. 😂 This video should have a subscription cost. Pure gold!

This is part of Hank’s slice fix series. It helped me move from a short low spinny fade to a high draw, and cut 10 shots off my handicap.

I've only had one game since watching this but I hit the ball long and straight most of the time. Can't wait for the next game

Non golfers will not understand what it means to amateur golfers to hit a draw. They probably think the whole thing is ridiculous. They’re probably right, but it means everything. The only reason that gentleman didn’t start crying when he finally did is because he didn’t want to be embarrassed on camera. Great job Hank. You changed his life.

Wow. This is the first time I have seen anyone talk about turning the left hand like that. It makes so much sense. Although I have no idea how the coach could see what the guys left hand was doing.

The fact that coaches can see exactly what you're doing on a swing that happens in literally a second without the need of technology and slow motion video review is insane.

Was thinking the same thing. There’s no way I can see what he is seeing lol.

I've been struggling to swing out like that and the reverse loop drill seems to be the key. With these concepts apply to the rest of the clubs in my bag?
@gordonhamilton727Күн бұрын
Both Bobby Jones and Jack Nicklaus have said to hit the ball consistently well, you have to square the club face to the ball by turning the body. Trying to square it with the hands requires a hell of a lot of timing. Not sure I'd want to do this.
@KamakozzieCraps5 ай бұрын
On irons, do you turn your left hand also??
@nathanjones11085 ай бұрын
Good players do it naturally , but the higher the loft of club the more it masks imperfections

That’s my problem, my face is always square, but my path is left. So my ball will go high and straight for almost 200 yards, and then it slices off 40 yds, lands and bounces and rolls another 15th right. So I may get 250 total, but it will be 40 yards to the right. Then I’ll have a day when my path is right and I hammer it 275, like it’s nothing. Problem is that may happen 1 out of every 5 days. So frustrating! Especially cause my irons are the exact opposite. I almost hit them too straight. Wish I had a little fade or draw in them

I know he's teaching this guy the right way, but it's almost mean to just keep yelling at him what to do when he's not getting it. That's the time when a coach should come in with some reinforcement and a drill or something.
@davidreiser96634 ай бұрын
But he was getting it. It’s a new skill and he has bad habits so he constantly reminding him because of those reasons. Idc if someone is screaming at me as long as I fix my slice 😂

Ever played football, coaches are much harsher, yelling and screaming…he was just getting him to repeat and this was the drill so why would he stop? The guy wants his slice fixed, he doesn’t care how he’s being treated LOL
