Really patient hunters those Tiger sharks, ..the way they move in to close the distance, and then fade out just as quick.

a lot of sharks are like that.....the can often lull you into a sense of comfort and then in a few quick shakes of the tail be right up on you.....had this happen to me on a bull shark dive.....its almost like being surprised when a very large human suddenly moves very quickly but you underestimated them because they were large

ive always wondered what most scuba instructors or dive masters would recommend if a large ocean predator became present while you near the end of your dive either at the bottom or doing your 5 m safety stop. example if a large great white/tiger/ or other shark suddenly appeared and became very interested in the group. if was at the bottom i would start to ascend slowly trying to be around 60' /minute and if the shark became aggressive i guess i would stop the safety stop and exit the water into the boat and get on the 100% oxygen on the boat....any real life situations out there and how was it dealt with?

it is all about the type of shark & understanding their behaviors,, but one way have always worked for me during my encounters, is, Take a vertical position, look directly to the shark & don't let him surprise you,, as sharks only attack surprisingly ... also try to keep something non-organic between u & the shark in case if it crossed the green zone which is lesser than 2 meters,, for me I prefer to use my fins never give your back or swim away, as 90% of the attacks happen from the back,, also never go to the surface while the shark is around you, as most of the sharks that follow you to the shallow do feed at the surface feel free to text me via Instagram ( tgtn.club ) or give a visit to us in the Red Sea to encounter some sharks by your self

Hi, sure thing it was a teen ager tiger, around 3 meters with obvious skin patterns of a tiger shark, can you give me your reasons to say that it isnt a tiger?
