Thankyou so much for this series of videos. I have a 2017 Sport 1050 and from now on will be doing all my own servicing (I also have a 2017 T120). Your videos have been really helpful. Would love to see one reviewing the bikelift you have in your garage? I've also ordered the DealerTool so I can reset the service wrench light on both bikes.

Why bother screwing the dipstick home to check the level? The dipstick thread length is about 12mm. Need I explain?

Thanks for your shairing. It would be better if you had used full-synthetic 10w50 (or 10w60) instead of semi-synthetic 10w40.

Hi Ahmet the oil I used is what triumph recommended but I am due another change soon so will ask them about fully synthetic

@@upnorthbiker Some master technicians in my country (Türkiye) are recommending to use full-synthetic oils for these kind of advanced motor blocks (racing type motor blocks which have been designed to work in high revolving speed). They are recommending mineral oils or semi-synthetic oils for the simple motor blocks (one cylinder etc. motor blocks which use ball-bearing elements in their crank system). NOTE: Full-synthetic oils can be used in all kinds of motor blocks and guarantees the best and clean lubrication but their price may be expensive some users. The budget may be a problem. As you know, full-synthetic oils are more expensive than mineral ones. So, the technicians do not recommend to spend much more money on synthetic oils for the simple motor blocks.

What make/grade of oil do you use please?
@upnorthbiker11 ай бұрын
It should be in the description of the video. I have also provided a summary video where I put up all the special tools and oils etc. you would be able to pause the video and look at the items on that one.

DOH! Didn't see that....thanks mate. I'm in the middle watching all of your TS service videos as I've just bought a '20 model, so these are brilliant.
