Recovering from a major operation, Tiger the cat goes into cardiac arrest. With all other attempts at resuscitating him having failed, Noel's only option is to cut a hole in his chest and re-start Tiger's heart with his finger.

That's Noel Fitzpatrick-top class vet and proud Irish man :) I saw an interview with him on TV and he grew up on a farm here in Co. Laois. He's a pioneering surgeon in areas such as synthetic cartilage transplant and limb prostheses. Totally unaffected by fame, zero ego and has a love of and vocation to the job, not in it for the money. His dedication to animals is incredible. Sleeps about 4 1/2 hours a night and sometimes in his surgery to be close to the animals he cares for. Legend :)

Veterinarians, veterinary nurses and all the other staff are some of the most under appreciated people I can think of. They help your best friend when they are sick and this video showed how much they actually care. I would love this guy to be my cats vet.

Engaging in open chest cardiac massage like that just shows what a truly lovely bloke this vet is. Obviously the other vets are amazing, with the lady who was with the cat when he dropped being one of the highlights of this team but I never knew that a vet could have so much passion for their job.

This makes my heart overwhelmed. Whether this is a cat or a human being, you see the passion in their eyes. They brought the dead back to life and it gave this purry companion a second chance. It's a celebration of life. Thank you to these people with big hearts!

My cat sadly passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, and I miss him so so much. It makes me happy to see that in this case, the cat was saved, and I’m committing myself to researching how to give first aid to cats in the hope that if I feel ready in time to adopt another cat, that I’m prepared for if anything should happen like that again. Some vets just don't care. Vet in my hometown made it seem like i should leave my dog to die when she had stomach problems instead of trying to help. Then I found a really good vet and she even called to ask how my dog was doing after treatment haha.

CPR only work in 5-10 percent of the case, and it depends on the reason of the cardiac arrest. Plus 3/4 of pets that survive CPR go on cardiac arrest in the next 24 hours.

Wow, can't help but get emotional watching this especially since I lost one of my babies several months ago. I still cry about it. It was my first time having to put down a pet. And I have 2 other cats and the thought of having to have to eventually do it again 2 more times in the far future sucks but seeing this was still amazing. Holy crap. I've never seen anything like that EVER! That cat is a miracle. And that Doctor is one hell of a miracle worker, well done to him and his dedication of his practice. Wow! The fact that there are animal doctors out there that risk everything to save an animal's life as much as a human life is such a good thing to know. Bless you guys.

Wonderful video....The vet and all the staff involved are a class act. We definitely need more caring vets like him. And to all you people that left rude comments.....SHAME ON YOU!!!! Animals are a part of people's family. They can give more love than some humans. They can also save your life, as one of my cats did for me. Thank god there are still people in the world that care.

reminds me of the time we spayed our cat but things went wrong at home and the wound opened and her intestines basically poured onto the ground, I was so scared and my parents were out, I called them and they rushed here and our amazing vet saved her! She's about 7 years old now, living her happy life, watching the fish in the aquarium, sleeping all day

Anna Howley I had one of my cats in for dental treatment (not at this practise obviously) when she was alive and the nurses were amazing with her giving her so much fuss and affection while she was recovering. I think they were actually quite sad when she was able to go back home haha. Lovely when you see people who care that much about our furry friends :-).

I really wish I could with my cat, my friend, Smusse. :'( ❤️ Two weeks ago today he went to heaven after getting a grass blade removed under anesthesia. When they gave him his shot to wake him up he began having breathing problems and then his heart stopped. They performed CPR but he didn't come back. He was only 2 years and 9 months old, and our best friend. I don't know how to accept his passing. The only thing that comforts me is knowing he is with my dad, his soulmate, who passed only 3 months after we got him. It's all just too much :'( We will miss them for the rest of our lives, until we meet again.❤️ Whoever is reading this, give your pet some extra love from us, and never take a day for granted!
