No these are captive bred animals they can't survive in the wild they would die out of starvation or will become man eaters one thing should be done in zoos of our country the enclosures should be big they should have big cages or enclosures to roam around freely and also the enclosures should be neat and clean so that no infection occurs so zoos should be improved in india but this animals can't be released in the wild, the forest is for a wild tiger not for a captive bred tiger i hope you understood what i explained

I believe this is a man-eater. Usually the tigers become man-eater if they have a health condition and find it difficult to hunt prey. Humans are an easier target especially little kids in villages, hence these big cats like tigers and leopards hunt them. This tiger probably has a health issue (like broken jaws/teeth) or is old. Hence he became a man-eater. If it was a different country , he'd be shot dead but india believes in keeping them safe. I know it's a very depressing situation for the tiger but for other's safety he's first put into a cage and then maybe shifted to a larger enclosure. I think that was the case for the man eating leopards for gir national park. I don't know about this tiger tho.

To all those who saying he should be placed in jungle.. this tiger was caught in a village in wayanad, it was in the news.. thats what they saying in background.. Once they got the human flesh taste, even if we send them to jungle, they will come to nearby villages by following human scent.. villagers tried to catch this one several times and finally succeeded.. so if they loose him.. in nearby village..someone might loose their life.. i am all about animal love but humans come first.. Kerala have gotten way better these days. zoos no longer keep lions and tigers in smaller cages; they have rather huge pens; this is probably only a feeding cage.
