Tiger performs `When' to an ecstatic crowd. He was born Norman Jackson 6th June 1960 in Kingston Jamaica. He embarked on his recording career as Ranking Tiger and debuted in 1978 with `Why Can't You Leave Dreadlocks Alone'.
In 1985 and 1986 he relished a series of hits such as, `No Wanga Gut' and the smash hit, `Puppy Love'. His success inspired Island/Mango Records to release the album, `Me Name Tiger' that featured those hits.
His success led to work with such the island's top producers including King Jammy, Gussie, Sly & Robbie, `Fatis' Burrell and Donovan Germain. His single `Cool Me Down' featured in the soundtrack of the story of the Jamaican Bobsled team `Cool Runnings' This led to him becoming one of the first Jamaican supas to record in a ragga/hip hop style with the Fat Boys for `Tings Nah Go So' featured on the album `On And On.'
By the early 90s he signed to Columbia's Chaos label for the release of the album, `Claws Of The Cat' but shortly after he was involved in a near fatal motorcycling accident. This led to a lengthy recovery time but he bounced back on a Dons Of Dancehall tour followed by an acclaimed appearance at Reggae Sumfest.
Having endured the ups and downs of life Tiger has conquered that rocky road supported by his daughter Rhia aka Rhiality Check. In addition to following in her father's footsteps in the dancehall arena she concurrently cares for his well being.
