You see how not one single artist could be confused for another artist. During this period being unique and having your own sound was vital. Nowadays if you listen to the radio you can run through 9 or 10 songs that all sound exactly the same. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a huge hip-hop fan.

Red and meth together are something else every single time, I remember the beginning track and still my favorite to this day! Absolute legends in anything they do.
This is why I love DJ Cassidy. This man truly appreciates the legends. When he calls people icons, it's because it's true. He doesn't use the words legend and icon out of context, unlike most people nowadays. It's all about actual talent. This is why I will forever rep for the OGs. To hell with the new shit. I've been a fan of this "Pass the Mic" series since Cassidy started it during the pandemic. It's your personal mixtape (I know I'm showing my age lol) or playlist coming to life with the artists that performs them, produces them or both.

dude RED AND METHOD MAN are still to this day my absolute favorite duo they were my teachers who showed me how to write multi syllable raps, even before Eminem was out,hes also a huge inspiration to me, but red and meth, have that rare gift of sounding EXACTLY THE SAME LIVE AS THEY DO ON RECORD, ive seen them 3 times live the first time wqs in 1998 i was 15!! the last time i saw them was 4 years ago in boston at this event promoting the strains of weed they made. this performance was an absolute dream they were so close to me i could reach out and touch they shoulder....i put my hand out and BOTH RED AND METH gave me dabs....bro i aint gonna lie i froze! 😂 like holyyyy shit i just dabbed redman and method man, coolest guys EVER the event was outside too it was just a great time and the point of this whole story is wen i saw them live at 15 in 1998 and when i saw them in 2020 at age 36 u wouldnt even beable to tell the difference i mean they hardly evem look diffrent hahah and the show was just awsome they put on a great show, a lot of audience participation ya know
