'08), look at his caddie after a bad putt (pres. cup), let out a disgusting verbal outrage after an over the top drive (pebble beach u.s.open 2000 rd. 1), run across the green with the low to high in your face uppercut fist pump with his mouth gaping open, no theatrics after hitting a shot from long rough , and definitely did not cheat and have some complete strangers move a boulder in the way of a shot. (btw how are your backs NOW guys?). Nicklaus - pure class. Tiger always wore red on Sundays , Nicklaus wore yellow sometimes (the different reasons are why Nicklaus is the greatest golfer of all time). Absolute pure CLASS. Jack won the annual long drive contest at the PGA championship with a 345 yard drive. It was flat ground. in 2017 - 2019 his 345 would've won in those contests. The average drives they recorded in those days was safe drives the rough was taller you couldn't bomb and gouge in jacks day .
@01Bluefin4 ай бұрын
What's the math formula you used for the conversion in yardage from 276 to 320? Thx
@ag3584 ай бұрын
Jacks avg yard of 276 was not an accurate measure of how far he hit his persimmon driver. Jack never hit as far as he could because rough was more penalizing then and bunkers were not maintained as well and sand was different bunker to bunker. He hit a massive 345 yard drive to win the long drive contest on flat ground, they have those contests at the PGA championship every year, jacks drive would've beat the modern drives in 2017, 2019 the winners of those years were less than 345 yards. With no fear of rough and bunkers it is hard to say how far jack could have hit the modern driver and ball it certainly would have been longer than 345 as he could do that with persimmon and those balls.
