4 hour barrier smashed. I'll be coming back soon to try and beat the 3 hour 30 min barrier. Maybe some day I'll get to down to a sub-3 hour run, but I've no idea if that's possible!

Awesome man! I was probably the only person I knew that liked Golf/Golf games so it was usually just me grinding away throughout my childhood haha. If you PC has even decent specs it can be emulated with PCSX2. I was playing it for years on a CFW PS3 but finally upgraded my PC over the pandemic and started playing it for hours every day.

Fantastic run I also had troubles believing that it was not a TAS !! The same challenge but with base stats initially would bring some nice priorization of the attributes to improve first as well as some subtelty in the course/opponent selection I believe :) Great work still !!

this speedrun is insane. like damn I thought that I was good at this game. a good time save though would be if when the game goes into gamebreaker (when it has the black bars and switches to slow motion), you can press square to go to instant replay then hold x to speed up time. this would help the most on long putts or drives where the ball rolls a long distance. you would just have to go to instant replay after the ball first touches down, if you want the spin to take effect. also, real-time events would be a meme of a speedrun category because of how many times you'd have to turn the game off to change your system clock. that'd be infuriating.

Playing this on PCSX2 right now. For some reason though.Every time I finish the Southwest region, after the “dominated” video plays, my game freezes. I have no idea why/how 🥲
