@@shadow200343 It may not be “practical” but it’s not “impractical” either because in theHunter: Call of the Wild that Revolver can easily one shot an Elk maybe even a Moose if you’re lucky, and by the time you cock the hammer back for a second time the animal is most likely already running so if you’re an experienced hunter you can probably get another shot off before the rest of the herd is gone. So is it practical for multi-deer shooting? No use the M1 or an AR. Is it practical for an accurate hard hitting shot that will increase your pistol score? Yes.

Not really realistic. It's just based on a real loading technique. In "The Modern American Pistol and Revolver" written by Arthur C. Gould in 1888, the Colt Single-Action revolver is loaded with all 6 cartridges, and its hammer would be placed on the "safety notch" when the gun is holstered. Arthur wasn't a nobody. He was an avid shooter, a gun expert, and a member of the old NRA. "To Load the Arm.-1st motion: holding the revolver in the left hand, muzzle downwards, half-cock it with the right hand and open the gate. 2d motion: insert the cartridges in succession with the right hand, close the gate, cock and fire it (taking it in the right hand), or bring the hammer to the safety-notch, as may be desired. To Eject the Cartridge Shells.-1st motion: holding the arm in the left hand, half-cock with the right hand and open the gate. 2d motion: eject the shells in succession with the ejector pushed by the right hand, moving the cylinder with the thumb and forefinger of the left hand. When the shells have been ejected, the pistol is ready for the 2d motion of loading. There are three notches in the hammer of this arm. The first is the safety-notch, the second is the half-cock notch, and the third is the cock-notch. The pistol cannot be fired when the hammer rests in the safety-notch or half-cock notch, and can be fired by pulling the trigger when the hammer rests in the cock-notch. The pistol should be carried habitually with the hammer resting in the safety-notch."

I noticed with Hunter Call Of The Wild the user uses the cowboy load to reload. Basically you load one chamber, skip the next and load four more and drop the hammer on an empty chamber. Pretty interesting to see that in a game.

Two things I noticed. -Hunt showdown caldwell pax is a single action army. I'm pretty sure that's known though and was just a mistake -Metal gear solid 3 had a functional single action army that could be wielded by the player

I find that colt peacemaker in Hunter: Call of the Wild is more accurate than the rest of the games. They load 5 and leave one empty. They rotate to the empty one in the cylinder before put it in the holster. It prevent from getting shot in the leg by accident.

I think there's a valid reason it's the only one that could afford to be accurate, though: it didn't need to be fast or hold as many rounds. In all of these games except for Hunter, speed is a requirement, and you shoot a lot. In Call of the Wild, you fire maybe one shot every 5-10 minutes at most, and only ever fire more if you don't down an animal with the first. It allows much more effort to go into accuracy than balance.

Hunter: Call of Wild is an incredibly slow placed game because of how realistic it is to actual hunting, so you never actually notice how slow it is in-game. All animals can pretty much get downed with one shot of that Single Action so it’s not like it’s an FPS where it takes multiple shots to kill someone; and you actually get penalized in a way for shooting it multiple times (the trophy rating goes down) Arguably although the slowest, it is the most realistic animation of a SAA Reload because if you’ve ever reloaded a single action you would know how difficult it is to reload it. Also as a bonus note: the Hunter reloading actually skips a chamber and only reloads five bullets, this kind of thing is pretty realistic in H:CoW because of how realistic it is to trying to mimic actual hunting laws (and for game balancing) For example, the two AR’s in the game can only hold 5 rounds in a standard ten round magazine, and a lot of early level shotguns look like they can hold +6 rounds but only hold 3.
