I just finished watching an interview with tight eyex and he was explaining everything with krump. The way that krump prioritizes the session rather than battles, the way that who you really are and what you go through becomes visible through krump, and even the origins of why things are the way they are rn. And after watching this battle here it makes me understand krump even more and it makes me love krump way more than I already do.

Great video bro, also Cyborg is one of Eyex's lil homies. Eyex is Machine, and Cyborg is Machine X. So the mentoring and schooling that you mentioned really shines in this vid

I was there bro, cyborg and Kid NY were the only ones really PUSHING PUSHING for the overseas, everyone else had about 2 rounds in em, the goats put them through the mf gauntlet!

It's funny in how much of the mentality you have and how your explanation of the experienced and seasoned vets come in and run the gauntlet on mid-tier players is prevalent in almost all competitive areas. I used to be heavy in the fighting game scene back in 2006-2012 back when each arcade had it's own scene and there would be rivalries within towns over 3rd Strike and CvS2. I remember that the best players out of my group would put us through the same shit and it never to 'put is in our place' but to light a fire under our ass to get out there and practice and to show us where we were lacking. Like 8 of us in a room playing a first to 10 and I'm getting eaten alive by the top guy who was showing everyone that I can't read a throw in 3rd Strike. Shit, I remember hearing about the hell Michael Jordan would put his teammates through to expose their weakness and remind them there are levels. It's a timeless tradition and honestly, outside of Krump and BBoying (and Flexing to an extent), It feels like that 'call out' sort of teaching mentality for other styles isn't there or has fell by the wayside. I know Popping used to have WARS (Greenteck was called out at like every event he went to for a while, and for good reason.) and I feel like there would be that much stronger of a drive in a lot of styles if the established vets would make the new blood really run the paces.

His presence is insane. It’s like he owns the floor even when his opponent is dancing.

You definitely right! Cyborg should be thankful for the opportunity to battle the CREATOR OF KRUMP, and always look back at this battle that will be on the Internet forever and take notes to further hone his skills! This is not an "L" for him at all in my opinion, just a great opportunity and a learning lessons!

I've been in some of these sessions and they present raw energy without a doubt. I'm closer to the DC sessions so I go there more often. but even then, you walk in a session and you can see how hard people train. You can see the people you mentioned were just in the tuck ready to kill someone off. there is nothing like it, and I'm glad people overseas are able to see and feel that original buck up close and personal.

Ya'll overhyping Tight Etyex and I understand why (legacy) but Cyborg equally held is own down. If Tight Eyex were another dancer Cyborg's round would murder his. But cuz it's Tight Eyex, even when he flicks his fingers everyone goes "ooooohhhhhh" whereas Cybrog does some crazy ass shit and the crowd shows little to no love...Not buying that cuz it's all hype!!! As it were no matter how hard you come you can never win against Tight Eyex cuz he can also switch mode to tutor mode at anytime and it seizes to be a battle but a Master Class. That's the power he's got due to his legacy. That's why he can lose only when he goes against non-Krumpers cuz the hype fades and dancing shines through.
