You should go fishing on williston lake bc for some big trout!!! Love the vids and channel. I am a new hunter and am wondering how much hunting on average and in general costs?
@skyedge61583 жыл бұрын
Hey dude. Thanks for the comment. Hunting can be a very expensive hobby but does not have to be ... I have gathered up my kit over time so it was not too expensive all at once. You definitely dont need the best gear to get started , but you may eventually wish to upgrade your kit as you try different types of hunting. My suggestion would be to get your hands on a decent rifle, a good pair of boots and binoculars and then hit the trail and see how it goes. It's always good getting out ! Goodluck

@@skyedge6158 awesome man thanks. Do you know anything about the omnica region in BC hunting wise. Im not sure what there is to hunt. Thanks for your time and reply!

A fantastic region to hunt. Hop on the hunting BC forum and ask for some tips. If you're new to the forum, you have to open with a joke.. its tradition

@@skyedge6158 Careful you don't eat anything from Williston Lake, or that flows from the lake. ( I would go as far as saying don't eat anything that flows into it as well). There's high levels of mercury. If you were to go boating, be careful of the wind (it's very strong) and apparently there's still standing trees near the coastline from when the reservoir was flooded so watch out not to puncture your Striker. Also I'd highly advise that you have a functioning radio with as many channels as possible. The Finlay FSR, that heads up the lake, is VERY busy with logging, there multiple camps up there as well so there's frequent food & oil trucks, as well as a lot of contractors constantly going up and down the road. I honestly saw more wildlife driving to Vanderhoof every day, and South of Vanderhoof, on the Kluskus FSR, than anywhere near, or on, Williston Lake.

What's the size limit of Hali....

They were awfully quick with the harpoon and gaff considering how close to oversized those halibut were.

The fast paced video editing can make the assessment process come across rushed. We were confident the Hali's were good to go. Thanks for watching

Maybe 15 * C when we were up there. Super nice conditions for fishing but not quite shorts weather!
