What an absolutely chaotic game! I love watching games where the VP tickers get stopped close to 0. You can watch the players and see who is the first to start losing their nerve and start making mistakes in order to close the game quickly or to save himself. The near suicidal fight by both sides for the central VP was incredible. Great cast as always!

This is the 50th 2v2 I've watched on this channel where katyushas/calliopes have wiped every squad, completely invalidating the outcome of tank battles Every game axis has a unique way of 'messing up' like this one with the friendly fire, but the strategic tale is always the same, it's just Katyushas wiping high vet troops until the game is over, the outcome of tank battles don't actually influence the VP trajectory Tightrope mostly comments on the tank battles though but it just lacks meaning because the game is being decided by the rocket artillery (veterancy wiping) not the tanks

I mean crossing is also a god map for indirect fire overall but tbh if it wasn't for the rocket arty soviets would have a really bad time to deal with axis inf but usually when the katty gets out is when axis start falling back especially okw the moment obers start dieing it's really bad but in the most situations you can still win even if you suffer from indirect fire, but in this case if you are playing vs good players in crossing you will never be able to dive because at overwatch will literally block you from any dive with tanks mines will fuck you up and rams will block you too so your best bet is either go for indirect fire and try to counter allies or just instantly retreat your units the moment your hear the katty and pray for nothing to die

The trouble here is that allied infantry are just worse (especially against obers, which is way stronger than even most elite allied troopers), they thus must rely on supports to fight infantry. If their top indirects are removed, all the supports they have left would be tanks and other than a few unicorns they are not reliable and usually don't have enough dps nor survivability to fight masses of axis at guns. I mean, just look at stock brits, what can they even do against massed vetted obers and snare infantry followed by a bunch of rektens and smoking supports? Even churchills and comets die in two volleys from the wall of at guns and your infantry got chewed up by obers in seconds, there is nothing you can do.

@@qidongxu I know that really well my point is that right now problem ain't about balance is more about map pool the moment you have maps like crossing which promote indirect fire but then you barely have any ways to counter it and if you are against good players I promise you soviets kattys ain't dieing because you can't dive and they will never stay in the same spot after firing. But then again even if the problem was balance or we needing new maps none of both would happen because no one supports coh2 anymore so what we have now it's what we will have until either servers shut down or some miracle happens and relic starts working on coh2 again.

The axis must have been trolling with these atrocious build orders lol. But what the hell was T1 doing? Terrible Katys until he fired in the base, not building T34s to pressure the Ost player, who basically had no AT in the end game. And of course, the worst crime of all: Not ooraing into the cap when it was the only thing that mattered at that point...
