FINALLY, an up to date tips/tutorial/guide. I've always wanted to play CoH2 but I started playing just recently when the game was free. It's saddening to see that there isn't any up to date guide when I wish to get better at the game. I've recently watched your micro tips videos after noticing it in the main menu and I love it; please do more guides, even some beginner ones! I bet lots of new players are looking to learn how to play the game :D

I like the 10% faster buildtime for Grenadiers over the cooldown one. It works for both Grens and Pgrens and still provides benefits after the early game because it also reduces reinforce time. Underrated bulletin, especially if you don't build the MG42 as first unit and like to get early Panzergrenadiers like me.

Don't forget Sturmofficier gives 2% additional accuracy to nearby squads that one is huge

Also, it wasn't mentioned here, but the Soviets have access to TWO machine gun veterancy bulletins, which stack, so they can actually get 20+% extra mg veterancy.

USF has a 25% barrage cooldown bulletin for the Scott which is a pretty huge bonus if you plan on making use of the Scott.

If you use Paratroopers "Survival Instincts" give them the same starting RA as Riflemen 0.97, which is really useful given they don't get much RA until they are vet3, helps them survive and vet.

On my conscript antitank grenade bulletin it does say the regular AT grenade and I seem to have the +5% maxim supression bulletin.

Hello, i would like to know something about Bulletins. How does Bulletins work for units like the Sturm officer? The info text says the squad itself contains Obersoldaten, do they get bonuses from the Obersoldaten bulletins and does the Sturm Officer suppression Bulletin count for them or only the sturm officer model? How does the bulltins work with picked up weapons? If i pick up a weapon with Conscripts or reinforce a squad of penals, which bonus counts for these models?

I'm kind of curious about the KV1 bulletins - WTH does 4% defense mean? Also kind of surprised no love for the 5% PZ4 OKW bulletin - they already have pretty high armor so it's a pretty big boost.

Do note that the Anti Tank Grenade Assault bulletin now only applies to the normal Anti Tank Grenades.

I have not looked through the whole video, but I think that having a bulletin that give allied tanks an extra edge, like penetration etc will help a lot against late german tanks. I usally have big problems with the big late tanks that germans can throw at you in the late game.

why is the 10% faster reload on maxim bulletin not in the maxim strat bulletins included?

Maxim reload is 4 seconds, quite short compared to most mgs so not that worthy of inclusion.

As I said right at the start of the USF section a lot of their bulletins come from completing the Ardennes Assault campaign.

How would the thicker skin bulletin affect the KV1? It's 4% increased defense, and it means it modifies received acc by 0.96. How does that affect it in game considering the large target size of the KV1 too? If a KV1 is sitting in front of an AT gun at point blank, will the gun still have a 4% chance of 'missing'? I get that a miss will make the shot scatter, and still collide with the KV1, but can we know how much this stat modifier affects the in game calculation. And the actual result of damage taken. It must be much less significant compared to inf right? and is 3% more armor gonna make a bigger difference? I'm just curious about the math, I know it's quite negligible in game.

It will make fuck all difference given the kv-1's large target size and hitbox for if the shot scatters, waste of a bulletin.

Hello Tightrope, I was wondering if the "Concentrated fire" ability of the Field Artillery Officer affected mortars as well. Context: I tried checking the difference between the accuracy circle of the barrage for a vet 0 Mortar and a vet 3 mortar and the circle is the same even tough at vet 3 the mortar gains +20% barrage accuracy. I then tried to use the "Concentrated fire" next to the mortar and they got the buff icon on their unit portrait but it didn't seem to change their accuracy of either barrage or auto-attack. Do you have a method to see if it changes anything like displaying accuracy like the health table?

Cons fire 8 shots before reloading their Mosins? Muh immersion!!! Hit the Deck! machine gun vet bulletin works on any captured MG as well as the Maxims or Mg42's. I think the USF M20 vision/range bulletin is really strong too.

Speaking of the best bulletins but didn't mention of 50% faster At guns for Soviets and Ostheers. Are these bulletins are your choice or "based on the top players choice"?

That bulletin also applies to the pak43, which makes it a must-have for commanders that have it. One of the few truly impactful bulletins for Ostheer, IMO, together with faust range. I'd also argue MG42 vet is more important than gren accuracy, just to get incendiary rounds earlier to keep off light vehicles.
