Just full of admiration at how these musicians perfectly complement each other's playing - everything feels so perfectly layered and balanced, and it never gets too dense.

What a beautiful synergy - the three instruments that often end up as accompaniments end up complimenting each other *so well.* Wonderful filmography and mic work - and the joy of playing together really shows, too! I particularly enjoyed A New Chapter, maybe because I got a thing for the sound of the lower ’zouk strings, but all three of them are worth all the sweat and the effort, from beginning to the end. And the transition to Waiting Out the Storm, oooh! Wonderful five-and-a-half minutes.

This music is just right, silvery bouzouki, subtle bodhran and piano, a pleasing full sound.

Tijn, this is as gorgeous a set as I've ever heard! Wonderful job by everyone! If possible, could you please ask Suzanne what kind of tipper she's using in this video? I'd love to get one for my own bodhrán!
@TijnB423 жыл бұрын
Heya, thanks! She says she used a brush tipper by Stevie Moises in the first tune, and a Hedwitschak one in the second and third. (www.bodhranmaker.de/seite/472507/hedrods.html?fbclid=IwAR2USFME8ugLp_SEos5eM1BiRmb0lADs2526qUoVUtM4lY_DzXb88rHs8wA)

How do you tune your Bouzouki?
@eleeyah47576 ай бұрын
Hmm. The first bit, before 2:26, doesn't really fit in at all, in my opinion. It's...black and white, while the rest is blue and orange. The blue and orange is real cool though, am having that run on repeat. :D Any chance you could upload again, just with 0:00 to 2:26 cut away?

I find that the bodhran is almost inaudible in your recordings. Otherwise I am a big fan. Maybe its my speakers but no problem listening to other music.
