I can promise that wasn't synaesthesia lol. Synaesthesia is to do with sensory overlap, not just the way that some people's brains can occasionally categorise very different pieces of information as if they are related. She was doing the whole "Maths is blue, February is a Tuesday" association type thing.

THANK YOU!! I was literally sitting there going… babe that’s association. I have synesthesia. I literally comprehend numbers as textures that I can “feel” (like, with fingers) as colors that I “see” in my mouth. So my how my tongue feels and what it “sees” is a huge part of how I do math, for example. And colors go into my brain as numbers. I used to give numbers instead of colors on tests preschool (ex: What color is this? A: “34!”) bc I hadn’t learned how my brain worked yet. They are inextricable to me. Association is something everyone does but it don’t make you a synesthete 😂😂

@@samsparks151It was DEFINITELY the ink coming off. If she used dish soap and hot water, that’s literally the combination used to get rid of fabric stains caused by dye. It causes the ink/dye to separate so it can be washed away, and cheap coloring jobs will bleed like that. Otherwise, I can’t imagine the sheer volume of dead skin cells or grime that would need to be in there to make it rinse like that yikes

9:28 PLEASE that is not what synesthesia is !!! 😭 she's talking about VIBES, synesthesia is the mixing of senses so that for example, numbers/letters have colors, sounds have smells, etc. 5x5=25 is def friday vibes, its an easy and fun equation. 7x7=49 does have thursday vibes, i agree. 6x6=36 is wednesday. 51 is divisible by 17 (3 times), so 51/3=17 is FOR SURE MONDAY. 11x11 is so sunday. november is the thursday of the year because it's before december which is the friday of the year. the saturday of the year is dec25-31, sunday is jan1 and monday is jan2-feb28/29. summer is the wednesday of the year but also the saturday. hope this helps :] this ISN'T synesthesia, it's just feeling vibes please please, synesthesia is such a difficult disorder to live with from what I hear from those who have it.

It can be synesthesia still. For me, 7x7=49 is Thursday bcs I associate 7 and Thursday with the color brown, and 5x5=25 is Friday bcs both are yellow. It's a broad spectrum with multiple subcategories and ways different people interpret these things. And while some people who experience synesthesia may have other sensory issues, it's a phenomena not a debilitating mental disorder like OCD. So one person explaining grapheme-color synesthesia isn't spreading misinfo lol.

Thats cause it wasn't synaesthesia lol. Its a disorder caused by a physical sensory overlap somewhere in the brain (can be a wide number of different causes and can present traits in very different ways/ combinations). Its more likely that she was describing a way that her/ some people's brains categorise information. Like November feeling like a Thursday.
